We also hope to start our reports on a Canadian province (grade 5) or a Saskatchewan city (grade 4). We are working on vocabulary in French to prepare us for our projects on a trip planned within Canada. We will be completing some of our Board assessments this month. Our writing assessment (VAA) for grade 4 is on Monday, May 5 and for grade 5 on Wednesday, May 7. RAD (reading) testing will be done at the end of the month. We will be doing some reading and activities on the theme of “many cultures”. We will be creating a non fiction piece on Mount Kilimanjaro or Mount Everest. We have a special guest (Emma’s grandpa) coming at the end of May to tell us about his adventures climbing both of these mountains! Of course we will continue to read, write and develop our vocabulary in our daily activities. ~ Mrs. Foster
