Pályázati felhívás egyszeri utazásokhoz nyújtott
mobilitási támogatásokra
Célja:
Az Magyar Tudományos Akadémia kétoldalú együttműködési megállapodásai keretében
mobilitási támogatást nyújt egyedi, a tudományos együttműködést elősegítő utazásokhoz.
Támogatásra jogosultak köre:
A támogatásra akadémiai kutatóközpontban, kutatóintézetben, Lendület-kutatócsoportban
vagy támogatott kutatócsoportban dolgozó kutatók pályázhatnak. A pályázónak már létező
szakmai kapcsolattal és partnere részéről ezt igazoló meghívással kell rendelkeznie.
Támogatható tevékenység:
Tudományos együttműködést elősegítő utazás.
Rendelkezésre álló forrás:
A rendelkezésre álló teljes pályázati pénzügyi keret 2015. évben: 10.000.000 Ft, amely 2015.
évi utazások támogatására használható fel. A küldő fél esetében az utazási költséget a fogadó
fél esetében a szállást és a napidíjat fedezi. Az egyezmények értelmében a kiutazás költségét a
küldő fél, a szállást és a napidíjat a fogadó fél fizeti.
Beadási határidő: 2015. szeptember 15.

Pályázat nemzetközi konferenciaszervezés támogatására –
2015 és 2016 első félév
Célja:
Az akadémiai kutatóhelyek nemzetközi elismertsége és nemzetközi tudományos
kapcsolatainak fejlesztése érdekében a kutatóhelyek által Magyarországon vagy a környező
országokban szervezett nemzetközi konferenciák, workshopok támogatása.
Pályázók köre:
Pályázatot nyújthatnak be a Magyar Tudományos Akadémia irányítása alá tartozó
kutatóközpontok, önálló jogi személy kutatóintézetek és a Támogatott Kutatócsoportok
Irodájához tartozó akadémiai támogatott kutatócsoportok.
Támogatható tevékenység:
Jelen pályázat a 2015. év során és a 2016. év első félévében megrendezendő nemzetközi
vonatkozású események támogatására szolgál.
Támogatás összege:
A rendelkezésre álló teljes pályázati pénzügyi keret 2015. évben: 20.000.000 Ft.
A pályázat keretein belül 200.000 Ft és 3.000.000 Ft közötti támogatási összeg igényelhető.
Beadási határidő: 2015. szeptember 15.

Pályázat CEEPUS oktatói mobilitás támogatására
Célja:
Olyan oktatási tevékenység támogatása, melyhez társulhat kutatás, vagy konferencián való
részvétel.
Pályázók köre:

egyetemi vagy főiskolai oktatói, tanári főállású munkaviszonnyal rendelkezők.
Támogatható tevékenységek:
1. Hálózati együttműködések keretén belüli mobilitások,
2. Hálózaton kívüli, freemover mobilitások.

Call for Abstracts
Travel Awards: NCI will sponsor up to three travel awards (covering airfare and hotel for two
nights) to participants from low- and middle-income countries, as indicated by the World
Bank. Travel award decisions will be primarily based on reviewer rankings of the abstracts.
Held in conjunction with the, widely attended, Consortium of Universities for Global Health’s
(CUGH) 5th Annual Global Health Conference, the US National Cancer Institute (NCI)
Symposium on Global Cancer Research is intended to facilitate information exchange
between global health and cancer research professionals about programs in global cancer
research, identify potential geographic and scientific areas for collaboration, and work to
develop strategic priorities related to cancer research focused on low- and middle-income
countries. Highly interactive discussions will cover a range of topics, foster network building,
and be geared toward developing action items for advancing global cancer research priorities.
Date and Venue: May 9th (all day) at the Washington Hilton, Washington DC.
Presentation of cutting-edge research that addresses the global burden of Cancer is at the heart
of the Symposium. NCI is currently accepting abstracts to join a poster session exhibiting
outstanding work addressing this need.
Guidelines: Abstracts will be submitted online and are to contain no more than 2500
characters describing research objectives, materials and methods, results, and conclusions.
The review process will be competitive, so successful applicants will be required to highlight
the significance of their work in a clear and concise manner.
Friday, January 31st 5pm EST - Online abstract submission deadline.
Friday, February 28th – Notification of acceptance/rejection and poster specifications sent to
authors of accepted work.
Friday, March 7th – Notification of Travel Awards.

Call for Applications
The National Cancer Institute (NCI) hosts the “NCI Summer Curriculum in Cancer
Prevention” every year in Rockville, Maryland. The Curriculum provides scientists and health
care professionals training on cancer control, prevention and research.
The Principles and Practice of Cancer Control Course, to be held July 7th – August 1st, 2014,
focuses on concepts, methods, issues, and applications related to cancer prevention and
control. The Molecular Prevention Course, to be held August 4th – August 8th, 2014,
provides a strong background in the molecular biology and genetics of cancer and an
overview of basic laboratory approaches applied to cutting-edge research in the fields of
molecular epidemiology, chemoprevention, biomarkers, and translational research.
Once accepted into the NCI Curriculum, limited funding for living expenses may be available
from NCI's Center for Global Health for applicants from low, middle, and upper-middle
income countries.

We are interested if you could join our consortium which is now further building. We are
working on the scientific first stage proposal and already have some interested partners - some
of the winners of the IMI2 AETIONOMY project on Alzheimer and for Database and
Biostatistics.

I am a board-certified Psychiatrist, Pediatric Psychiatrist and Neurologist with extensive
experience in the diagnosis and state-of-the art treatment of various psychiatric and
neuropsychiatric disorders.
I am also Professor As. at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy V Babes Timisoara,
Romania - Department of Neurosciences.
I am interested in the clinical research in Neuropsychiatry in various themes, especially
psychoses - Schizophrenia, Early onset Schizophrenia, Affective disorders, Major Depressive
Disorders, Ultra High Risk Populations - offspring of parents with psychosis expressing
clinical features, Genetic High Risk Populations (offspring of parents with schizophrenia,
bipolar disorder, schizophrenia running in families).
I am interested in the neurobiological, epigenetic / genetic and pharmacogenomics aspects,
especially in psychoses, depressive disorders, neurodegenerative disorders.
My research interest focuses on treatment and clinical course of patients with psychoses schizophrenia, affective disorders, depressive disorders, treatment resistance correlated with
pharmacogenomics.
Advantages: extensive clinical experience, existing big cohorts - with psychoses schizophrenia, affective disorders, ultra high risk population cohort, with existing biosamples, dynamically enrolling in the already existing cohorts.
I conducted numerous clinical trials on these themes.
Major aims:
- To identify predictive neurobiological, genetic markers, genotype-phenotype interactions in
the ultra high risk population - differences between Psychosis Converters and Nonconverters.
- To identify the underlying neurobiological mechanisms for susceptibility in psychosis,
affective disorders, depression and to correlate them with the clinical expression,
- To identify predictive markers for treatment response in Psychoses, Affective
Disorders, Depressive Disorders...
- Treatment Resistance,
- Pharmacogenetic aspects,
- Novel approach finding new targets in the treatment of psychosis, affective disorders,
neurodegenerative disorders.
Expertise in Psychiatric Scales, clinical trials, CANTAB, COG Test, CRT (Cognition).
Research Area: Psychiatry, Neurology, Neurosciences Pediatric Psychiatry and Neurology
Pharmacogenomics.

Ezúton szeretnénk felhívni figyelmét, hogy 2015. február 23-án, hétfőn kerül megrendezésre
az ötödik Startup Sauna budapesti coaching nap, ahova tehetséges, Semmelweises hallgatókat
is várnak. A finn Startup Sauna csapata ismét ígéretes korai fázisú startupokat keres, a
rendezvény nyertese bejuthat a Startup Sauna non profit akszelerátor programjába, és akár a
Szilícium Völgyig is repülhet, ha Helsinkiben is jól teljesít.
A program kiválasztott startupok 3-3 perces bemutatkozásával kezdődik, majd a legjobb
vállalkozások személyes coachingban részesülnek.

„Enterprising Scientists: Generating Value and Opportunities”

The HEKATE project team would like to invite PhD students and postdocs to participate in
our workshop “Enterprising Scientists: Generating Value and Opportunities”
The workshop will take place on*24/25 March 2015* in Manchester at the premises of
Manchester Business School.
The workshop shall inspire doctoral students and researchers to engage in business
opportunity creation. It will convey a feeling what innovation and new business development
involves.
Participants will learn about enterprise opportunities in large firms as well as in high-tech
start-ups. Real industry case studies will provide an insight how important ‘enterprise’ is in
turning an idea into an innovation. They will identify enterprising opportunities around their
research – in a university setting, a large corporation and technology venture. Engaging with
industry speakers will enrich the career prospects of early-stage researchers.
The Workshop involves direct interactions with industry and case studies. It takes a ‘learning
by doing’ approach; allowing participants to develop business ideas based on own area of
research and interest.
The workshop is intended for Early-stage post-doctoral researchers in scientific and
engineering disciplines, who are interested in industry and enterprising career.
Early career researchers working in industry who want to generate value from research and
technology are also welcome to attend.
The workshop has been developed in the course of the HEKATE – Higher Education and
Enterprises: Knowledge Alliances for the Training of Entrepreneurs - project. HEKATE is a
project within the European framework of the University–Business Cooperation initiative.
The main aim of the initiative is to form the so called “Knowledge Alliances”. ‘Knowledge
Alliances’ are intended to bring together businesses and higher education institutions to
strengthen and develop Europe’s innovation potential via the provision, for example, of new
higher education learning and teaching methods.
HEKATE is positioned specifically in the topic ‘Fostering entrepreneuria skills and attitudes,
by promoting transversal skills through the inclusion of enterprise education throughout
higher education programmes.’ HEKATE has been funded with support from the European
Commission. Project partners are Manchester Business School, Hamburg University of
Technology, EIRMA (European Industrial Research Management Association), Solvay and
TuTech Innovation.
No participation fee required. There will be costs for networking dinner, lunch and
