About Nirmal Dham
In 1997 Shri Mataji asked for a piece of land to be bought for the Sahaja Yogis of Delhi as the
collective was growing rapidly. As the team searched for available land in desirable places around
Delhi, they could not find anything that was suitable in terms of both size and price.
After months of searching a 5 acre plot was found on offer. Pictures of the land were sent to Mother
and Shri Mataji immediately expressed her desire for acquiring the land. Shri Mataji particularly liked
the water body next to the land, the proximity to the airport and the city. Shri Mataji immediately
gave all the support for the purchase of the land. Soon thereafter, another 2.5 acres of land,
adjoining the current 5 acre plot, came up on offer and was purchased by the Life Eternal Trust in
India.
Later Shri Mataji was requested to bless the land with a name. She explained that this was a ‘Dham’a divine abode. Thus, the name ‘Nirmal Dham’ was christened.
Shri Mataji had also predicted that major roadways would be built to connect this land to main city
of Delhi. Today a wide spanning three-lane road connects Nirmal Dham to Delhi and a major Delhi
metro rail Terminus at ‘Dwarka’ a few kilometres away.
On 23rd February 2011, Shri Mataji decided to leave the physical aspect of this most auspicious
Incarnation and handed over the responsibility to all those realized souls who recognized the
tangible flowing ambrosia of divine love. It is after all God’s love and the responsibility lies on them
who recognize it to take this further across shores and man-made boundaries.
Her Holiness Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi dedicated Her life to the benevolence of mankind through the
divine gift of spontaneous self-realization. Despite facing obstacles and encumbrances, She
continued uninhibited to speak about the ‘Truth’ all over the world. Her revelation that truth is not a
word but an experience will continue to be an unprecedented step in the evolution of mankind. Shri
Mataji took every opportunity to provide that experience of truth to whoever She met and even to
those whom She couldn’t meet personally in Her physical form.
The truth is that the divine took a human incarnation and undertook the arduous task of
demystifying the existence of God and giving God’s experience to human beings. The followers of
Her Holiness Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi are aware of the existence of this charismatic divine power
that is tangibly felt very strongly at this most holy and auspicious Mahasamadhi at Nirmal Dham,
New Delhi. Seekers from far across arrive at this holy land with profound devotion in their heart,
expressing their deepest sense of gratitude and indebtedness to the greatest incarnation in human
civilization.
The resting place of Her Holiness Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi will be a place that carries on Her mission
of self-realization - a place where all can gather to experience and absorb the tangible peace of
divine love and enlightenment and pass it on wherever they go.
For the emancipation of the entire human race and every seeking soul on this beautiful planet earth,
