2015 BACK IN BLACK Chevy Colorado Give-Away
1. Norfolk GM Auto Center (hereinafter referred to as “Norfolk GM”) is giving away a 2015 Chevy
Colorado via the airwaves of 94 Rock, subject to the rules of this contest, titled “BACK IN BLACK”, and
additional rules as amended.
2. Registration and qualification for the “BACK IN BLACK” contest begins Wednesday, April 15, 2015 and
ends on Thursday, May 28, 2015.
3. To become a qualifier, you must be 19 years old and:
a. Physically be present but not the whole time at a KNEN-FM (hereinafter referred to as “94
Rock”) BACK IN BLACK event that will be advertised on 94 Rock as an opportunity to become a
qualifier to win the 2015 Chevy Colorado. Once you are physically present at the advertised
BACK IN BLACK contest event you will have the opportunity to register just one time at each
event by filling out a short form that will be placed in a registration box and a qualifier will be
drawn from each BACK IN BLACK contest event. To find out if your name was chosen from
those who registered at each live radio broadcast, you must listen to 94 Rock or visit 94rock.fm
during the dates of the BACK IN BLACK contest. One name will be announced the following day
of each event between 6 AM and 6PM. You do not need to contact 94 Rock if your name is
drawn, 94 Rock will contact you by phone or by United States Postal Service mail to advise you
of the same. Those chosen as qualifiers will be referred to as “BACK IN BLACK Qualifiers”; or
b. By listening to 94 Rock on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout the
duration of this contest between the hours of 6 AM and 6 PM, three (3) listeners per day will
have the ability to become a BACK IN BLACK Qualifier. To be qualified in this manner, you must
call 94 Rock after hearing the sound of an engine starting up, followed by the queue to call and
be the ninth (9th) caller to call 402-379-9494. The 9th caller will become an instant BACK IN
BLACK Qualifier for that day; or
c.
There will be two special live broadcasts at Norfolk GM Auto Center, 1123 South 20th St.,
Norfolk, Nebraska. The first broadcast will be April 15, 2015 between the hours of 4:00 PM and
6:00 PM; and, the second live broadcast will be May 28, 2015 between the hours of 5:00 PM to
6:45 PM. At each special live broadcast all persons, except those persons who have already
become BACK IN BLACK Qualifiers, over the age of 19 can register to become an Instant BACK
IN BLACK Qualifier. At the conclusion of each broadcast, 94 Rock shall pick three names at
random out of the box of registrations. These three people shall have their name announced on
94 Rock radio and will be become BACK IN BLACK Qualifiers. BACK IN BLACK qualifiers must be
present to participate in the final BACK IN BLACK Giveaway event to be held beginning at 7:01
PM on May 28.
d. By purchasing a new or used motor vehicle or having a motor vehicle serviced at Norfolk GM at
1123 South 20th St., Norfolk, NE, your name will be entered into a drawing. Purchase shall mean
the buying of a motor vehicle at a price that is subject to fair negotiation in the normal course
of Norfolk GM’s sales practices, at no time shall it cost more solely to be registered in this
contest. Service shall mean any service provided to the owner or operator of a motor vehicle,
with that service valued equal to the posted charges for an oil change or the purchase of any
new or used vehicle from Norfolk GM. Each time you receive a service or purchase a new or
used vehicle from Norfolk GM you will be given an opportunity to register to become a BACK IN
BLACK Qualifier. Each Friday, during the dates of this contest, three (3) names will be drawn
from those who registered as defined herein at Norfolk GM and those people will be
considered a BACK IN BLACK Qualifier. Norfolk GM will participate in a Friday only live
broadcast call on 94 Rock at 94.7 FM in the Norfolk, Nebraska area between the hours of 6:00
AM to 9:00 AM each Friday with Mookie where 94 Rock will announce the BACK IN BLACK
Qualifiers. Each week, after the three (3) names are drawn at random without discriminating on
the amount of the purchase whether it be for a motor vehicle or a service transaction as
defined herein, all of those who registered at Norfolk GM will have their names taken out of the
registration box and a new set of registrants will be begin for the next week, until another three
(3) names drawn.
4. All BACK IN BLACK Qualifiers are required to be physically present at Norfolk GM on Thursday, May 28
at 7pm. The actual BACK IN BLACK Qualifier must be physically present, no proxy or proxies are
allowed. Each BACK IN BLACK Qualifier will be given a ticket with the Qualifier’s name on said ticket,
each ticket will be placed in a bucket, 50 tickets will be drawn at random, those 50 people will advance
to the second round of the BACK IN BLACK giveaway event and when their name is called, each of
these 50 second round qualifiers will get their tickets placed back into the bucket and from that bucket
10 tickets will be selected at random, those 10 qualifiers will advance to the third round of the BACK IN
BLACK giveaway event and 5 tickets will be selected at random. Those 5 qualifiers will then advance to
the fourth and final round of the BACK IN BLACK giveaway event. The final 5 will then be narrowed
down to one, final details to be determined. One lucky winner will win the 2015 Chevy Colorado
described herein.
5. If you become a BACK IN BLACK Qualifier, you shall not be entitled to register again or have your name
entered into a drawing pursuant to Paragraph 3(c) herein, and will not be given another chance of
becoming a BACK IN BLACK Qualifier. Employees and their immediate family members of 94 Rock,
KNEN-FM, Norfolk GM, competing radio stations in Madison County, Nebraska and Platte County,
Nebraska may not register or become BACK IN BLACK Qualifiers. You may register more than once
whether at a BACK IN BLACK event, by listening to 94 Rock or by purchasing a new or used or by having
service work done at Norfolk GM.
6. These rules may be amended from time to time at the sole discretion of 94 Rock.
7. Must be 19 years or older to register and compete in the BACK IN BLACK giveaway event.
8. The winner of the 2015 Chevy Colorado will be subject to federal and state taxes upon winning the
vehicle. The winner shall also be solely responsible for paying any and all motor vehicle registration,
licensing and associated taxes, costs and fees. The winner shall take possession of the 2015 Chevy
Colorado not more than 14 days after May 28, 2015 and will be required to execute any and all
documents as required by Norfolk GM and 94 Rock. Norfolk GM and 94 Rock will use this time to
remove any stickers or vinyl from the vehicle. The 2015 Chevy Colorado will come with the standard
warranty packages offered to all buyers on all new 2015 Chevy Colorado vehicles.
9. Winner of the contest shall be required to complete any and all documents at the request of either
Norfolk GM or 94 Rock or both. Winner also shall give their Social Security number to Norfolk GM for
tax reporting purposes. For tax purposes the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price of the 2015 Chevy
Colorado shall be $33,630. The winner of this contest will receive an IRS Form 1099 stating this amount
and shall be solely responsible for any and all taxes associated with acquiring this prize through this
promotion. The taxes include but is not limited to state and federal income tax, motor vehicle
registration fees of any kind, costs associated with licensing a motor vehicle and any sales tax liability.
10. Participants will not have any expectation of privacy concerning the information submitted or the
announcement of winners. 94 Rock reserves the right to use such information for any purpose as 94
Rock deems appropriate in 94 Rock’s sole discretion.
