Founded in 1948, Emerson is one of the nation’s largest volume consumer electronics distributors with a recognized
trademark in continuous use since 1912. It continues to be one of the oldest and well-respected names in the consumer
electronics industry. The Company engages in the design and marketing of audio and video products tailored to meet
consumer preferences of the local market, particularly in the case of International markets. Emerson utilizes an extensive
distributor network to facilitate its international presence and further leverages the Emerson brand globally through various
licensing agreements. Its core business consists primarily of the distribution and sale of various low to moderately priced
product categories.
Asst. Vice President Import/Export Operations and Logistics
2006 – Present
Lead global import/export operations and logistics responsibilities of leading US electronics distribution enterprise with
yearly product value in excess of $250M.

Spearheaded the negotiation of all direct carrier contracts and NVOCC operations for both import and
export requirements including over 3000 FEU annually.

Delivered yearly savings of approximately $300k through a newly developed and negotiated program for
handling off-peak container volume.

Seamlessly managed company requirements associated with a 50% increase in imported product year
over year (2010/2011) through a focused execution on contract negotiation, compliance accountability,

With identification of reverse logistics failure, reduced company operating costs through the
implementation of a revamped Inventory Management environment to include elimination of 3rd party
warehousing, the engagement of an industry leading refurbisher, and improved disposition process for
maker/source returns.

