College of Engineering Incentive Guidelines for Chair Professor Chang
Tao-Yuan Memorial Scholarship
Issued by the 8th College of Engineering Heads Meeting on July 6, 2007, School Year 95.
Amended and approved by the 3rd College of Engineering Heads Meeting on November 26, 2013, School Year 102.
I.
The National Sun Yat-sen University (hereafter referred to as “the University”) College of
Engineering (hereafter referred to as “the College”) establishes the Chair Professor Chang
Tao-Yuan Memorial Scholarship (hereafter referred to as “the Scholarship”) and the
present guidelines in memory of the dedication and commitment of former Chair Professor
Chang to the University and to the College. The Scholarship is offered as an incentive to
outstanding students.
II.
Scholarship Receivers: A total of 2 student each with a grant of NT $40,000 are awarded
(priority is given to outstanding photoelectric students in the field of MBE).
A. One student who has completed his/her undergraduate program in the University
and continues to study the full-time master’s program in the College.
B. One student who has completed his/her master’s program in an institute of the
College, or is a full-time student in a doctoral program in the College.

Application Procedures: Applicants shall submit the documents listed below to the
College’s office for application.

B. Official transcripts (including overall ranking; master’s students shall include
undergraduate transcripts; doctoral students shall include graduate and
undergraduate transcripts)

Application End Date: October 15 of each year
Review Method: Applicants are reviewed in the College’s heads meetings.
The present guidelines shall be implemented following approvals of heads meetings. The
same procedure shall be carried out when amendments are to be made.
