Nicholas School MEM Certificate Program in Community-Based Environmental Management Coursework Planning Form The purpose of this form is to provide first year MEM students planning to complete the Certificate Program in Community-Based Environmental Management a means to get feedback on their course plan and ensure that it meets all of program requirements. The completed form is due by APRIL 1 OF YOUR FIRST YEAR, but can be turned in earlier. Your Name: Month & Year of Graduation: Required Coursework Students wishing to earn a certificate in Community-Based Environmental Management are required to complete a series of courses in 4 core areas during the 2 year MEM program that will add to a total of 12 course credits. To secure pre-approval, documentation of course content and a written justification of how the substitution will enhance the student’s educational experience is submitted for approval to the certificate manager BEFORE the course is taken in order to count toward completion of the certificate.
