Using The Eastern Indigo Snake Programmatic Effect Determination Key, does the project
result in a
a. “May Affect” determination? If yes, project is RED.

“Not Likely to Adversely Affect” determination and will the permittee agree to:
 Use the Standard Protection Measures for the Eastern Indigo Snake during
project site preparation and construction, and
 Evacuate all gopher tortoise burrows prior to site manipulation in the burrow
vicinity, and
 Inspect holes, cavities, and snake refugia other than tortoise burrows each
morning before site manipulation, and if occupied by an indigo snake, no work
will commence until the snake has vacated the vicinity.
If any of the above three are no, project is RED. If yes, include copy of Standard
Protection Measures for the Eastern Indigo Snake with permit conditions.
