Dinner 19:00 Day 1
Celebratory dinner for up to 65 people (operated on a first come first serve basis with
priority for members). Details will be circulated later. For those who prefer to make
their own dinner arrangements, there are plenty of restaurants of all categories around.
Lunch Day 2
Lunch is not provided. However, there are many restaurants, sandwich bars and coffee
shops in the vicinity.
Visit to Robert Koch Institute 14:30 Day 2.
Our hosts have arranged a visit to the original Robert Koch Institute. However, this tour
can accommodate a maximum of 25 people; again operated on a first come first serve
basis with priority for members.
Aeras socializing before the meeting
We are also planning an informal social event with people from Aeras who are in Berlin,
on the evening before the meeting (Wednesday) in case you want to schedule arrival to
fit around this.
Getting To Kaiserin Friedrich-Haus
AIR: BERLIN HAS TWO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORTS TEGEL (TXL) AND SCHÖNEFELD (SXF),
Ground transportation from Berlin Tegel (TXL) Airport
1) Bus line "TXL" (every 7mins): 20 mins ride, 2.60 € (driver sells ticket). Get off at
"Hauptbahnhof" and follow map (7mins walk).
2) Taxi: 20 mins ride, approx. 20 €
Ground transportation from Berlin Schönefeld (SXF) Airport
1) Regional train lines "RE7" or "RB14" (approx. every 30 mins): 35 mins ride, 3.20 €
(ticket must be bought beforehand at machines). Get off at "Berlin-Friedrichstrasse"
and walk down Luisenstrasse (see map, 10mins).
2) Taxi: 45 mins ride, approx. 65€
