Cell Theory Timeline Your group will create a presentation to organize information about six very influential scientists, “giants,” that helped to establish the cell theory as we know it today. These “giants” include Robert Brown, Robert Hooke, Hans and Zacharias Jansen, Anton Van Leewenhoek, Matthias Schleiden, Theodor Schwan, and Rudolph Virchow. Directions: Your group will create a timeline that traces the development of the cell theory. Your group will present your timeline and it should include pictures of the scientists (if available), their contributions to the development of the cell theory, dates of their contributions, and should be presented in chronological order. Presentations will be graded on accuracy of information on index card and summary of scientist (70%), creativity (10%), grammar (10%), and use of technology (10%). Your final product may either be done as a poster. Your group will share your presentation with the rest of the class. Suggestions for internet research: 1.
