New Delhi / Jaipur; 17 October, 2014: Rajasthan Skill and Livelihoods Development Corporation
(RSLDC) and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) have joined hands to enhance the
employability of the youth in Rajasthan by moving the skilling activities to industry driven and
outcome based trainings, assessments and certification aligned to National Occupational
Standards (NOS), set by NSDC approved Sector Skill Councils (SSCs).
RSLDC and NSDC will jointly decide the sectors and courses to be aligned to the industry defined
standards set by SSCs. NSDC will also provide its resources in holding regular workshops, training
the trainers, capacity building and curriculum alignment.
The landmark MoU was signed by Gaurav Goyal, MD, RSLDC and Dilip Chenoy, MD & CEO, NSDC in
presence of Shri. M. L. Mehta, Chairman RSLDC
Mr. Gaurav Goyal, MD, RSLDC said, “NSDC has played a pivot role in aligning vocational training
programs with industry requirement across various state governments. This engagement with
them will shrink the demand-supply gap of skilled manpower in Rajasthan and help us reap the
benefits of our demographic dividend.”
Commenting on this partnership, Dilip Chenoy, MD & CEO, NSDC said, “We are pleased to
support RSLDC for integrating their vocational training programs with industry recognized
standards. This will play an important role in enhancing the employability of trainees and help
them transform their lives. We look forward to replicate this model in other states as well.”
Post completion of training, these SSCs will conduct the assessments and issue joint certification
with RSLDC to every trainee successfully attaining pass marks as per the guidelines jointly issued
by RSLDC, NSDC and SSCs. From time to time, RSLDC and NSDC will review and consider
introducing new sectors and courses as per the demand of the industry under other vocations.
NSDC and SSCs will also facilitate placements for candidates trained under this program.
With this partnership, there will also be an alignment of RSLDC’s Technical Portal and NSDC Skill
Development Management System (SDMS), to streamline assessment and monitoring processes.
