The Hard Rock International WEC 2015 Student Scholarship Interested in designing an educational session for meeting and event professionals? What would it look like and what would it teach people? And what if you would not only be able to design it, but also present your session at WEC. In partnership with Hark Rock International, the MPI Foundation is excited to present this unique opportunity for two students for WEC 2015 in San Francisco! Two (2) students will receive the Hard Rock International Scholarship including WEC attendance and the chance to present an educational Campfire Session during MPI’s World Education Congress. Campfires are 30 minutes in length and take place in the Knowledge Hub, where the focus will be on the future of meetings, corporate social responsibility, technology and the current status of the industry. Scholarship Eligibility Must be a student MPI member in good standing. Scholarship Award Two (2) scholarships will be awarded to student members (1 North American student and 1 EMEA region student). o WEC registration o Roundtrip economy airfare o Accommodations up to four (4) nights o Opportunity to present an educational Campfire Session at WEC (including intake and coaching calls with the MPI Professional Educational team). Why is this opportunity being offered? We are giving students a stage to share ideas worth spreading. We often only turn to “experts” and professors to teach the meeting and event professionals of the world new skills and to provide them with new knowledge. Students however have a wealth of knowledge about this industry and can teach this community a thing or two and we are looking to provide a platform to do so. We want to have appealing educational offerings for students – whom best to ask to design and execute this than students themselves? How do I submit my idea? Please review the requirements and supporting documents herein and submit your Hard Rock International Student Scholarship Campfire Session idea to mpifoundation@mpiweb.org no later than May 22, 2015. Scholarship award recipients will be notified by June 5, 2015 via email with instructions on next steps.
