Program of Study:
Procedure 1 title:
Entering the Classroom
Objective:
For students to understand respect when coming into the classroom for and to independently
begin daily work.
When procedure will be introduced, modeled, and practiced:
The teacher will introduce this procedure the first day of class.
This procedure will be modeled for the first week of school for students to obtain a good
understanding of the teacher’s expectations.
This procedure will be practiced daily and done until teacher thinks students have a complete
understanding of what is expected of them.
Frequency of modeling and practice:
The teacher will only model and practice with the class for the first week.
Assessment and Feedback:
The teacher will observe and assess. Teacher will use proper reinforcement in order to encourage
the right and wrong ways of the procedure.

Procedure 2:
Bell Work/ Daily Writing Assignment
Objective:
For students to become accustomed to coming into class and independently starting their own
daily work.
When procedure will be introduced, modeled, and practiced:
The teacher will begin to introduce this procedure upon the first day of class.
The teacher will model this procedure that the beginning of class for the first week of school.
This procedure should be practiced by the students until the end of the first week of school is
over. Afterwards the students should independently complete the assignments until the end of the
year.
Frequency of modeling and practice:
The teacher will only model and practice with the class for the first week.
Assessment and Feedback:
The teacher will observe and assess. Teacher will use proper reinforcement in order to encourage
the right and wrong ways of the procedure.
Procedure Steps or Activity:
1. Enter the classroom properly
2. Sit down and being morning work (assignments and directions will be posted daily)
Students will have the first 10 min of class to complete bell work. Bell work will be
collected at the end of the week.
Procedure 3:
Make up work/Late assignments
Objective:
For students to know what to do when they are absent or have late work
When procedure will be introduced, modeled, and practiced:
The teacher will introduce the producer upon the first day.
The procedure will be modeled in a rubric with instruction.
The procedure will be not be practiced and only introduced through a rubric.

This will be modeled in a rubric and not practiced other than explained by the teacher that the
beginning of the first day of class.
Assessment and Feedback:
The teacher will assess and give feedback based on if the procedure is properly done.
Procedure Steps or Activity:
1. Take note of how many days you are or will be absent.
2. If you are to be absent your work is due upon your return in order to make up for your
missed assignments. If you are absent your late work is due 2 days after you return to
school.
Procedure 4
When students finish work early
Objective:
If students are to complete all of their daily work they are to know the procedures in finding
something productive to do.
When procedure will be introduced, modeled, and practiced:
This procedure will be introduced at the beginning of the class on the first day of school.
This procedure will be modeled on the rubric for instruction.
This procedure will be practiced throughout the year when students complete all of their
classwork.

This will be modeled in a rubric and not practiced other than explained by the teacher that the
beginning of the first day of class.
Assessment and Feedback:
The teacher will assess and give feedback based on if the procedure is properly done.
Procedure Steps or Activity:
1. Complete daily work
2. Complete any late work for class
3. If all work is caught up in class find something productive to do (Do other class work,
read a book, draw, put head down, see if teacher needs help) DO NOT DISTURB

Procedure 5:
Tardis
Objective:
To discuss the procedure of how to handle being tardy and the steps to being excused.
When procedure will be introduced, modeled, and practiced:
This procedure will be introduced at the beginning of the class on the first day of school.
This procedure will be modeled on the rubric for instruction.
This procedure will only be modeled when a student is tardy.
Frequency of modeling and practice:
This will be modeled in a rubric and not practiced other than explained by the teacher that the
beginning of the first day of class.
Assessment and Feedback:
The teacher will assess and give feedback based on if the procedure is properly done. If a student
is late a certain amount of time, overall grade will be deducted by the percentage listed on the
rubric.
Procedure Steps or Activity:
1. Go to the office and get a slip with a signature from someone in the office. (The slip will
address why you are tardy and if it is excused or not)
2. When entering the room write your name on the board and put the slip in the tardy bin
along with homework that may need to be handed in.
3. The teacher will address whether you are to stay after class to meet with them.
Procedure 6:
When getting the class’s attention
Objective:
To show proper procedure to showing the right amount of respect for the teacher when the
teacher calls for it.

The teacher will introduce this procedure the first day of class.
This procedure will be modeled for the first week of school for students to obtain a good

1. The bell will be rung by the teacher
2. The students are to immediately quiet down and put down any work or activities they
are engaged in and pay attention to the teacher and further direction.
3. Total focus should be on the teacher, everyone should remain quiet and attentive

How to leave the classroom
Objective:

understanding of the teacher’s expectations.

1. Students will wait until they are either excused or the bell rings in order to leave the
classroom
2. Students are not to leave the classroom if the teacher is in the middle of talking or
finishing up a lesson. Students will be excused when the teacher is finished.
3. Students are to be excused and remain as quiet as they came into the classroom when
leaving.
4. Students will gather their things and proceed to their next subject.
