Position Title: Full Time Aircraft and Facility Housekeeper for fortune 300 company. Position Purpose: The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean and professional appearance of the aircraft and Hangar & Office Facilities. Principal challenges and complexity: Keeping aware of flight schedules. Aircraft schedules are quite variable and change from day to day. There is a need to be at the hangar at the appropriate time, day or night. These areas need to be kept clean and well stocked with supplies. With this attention to detail, we display a professional corporate image. Often the first image of our company that a customer sees is our aircraft, hangar and departure lounge. If this first impression we leave with a customer is positive, it makes a good impression of our company, which is essential. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Basic cleaning and sanitizing of aircraft lavatory sinks, countertops, mirrors, toilets and surrounding areas, trash bins, table changes, walls/ceilings/doors, and floors. Stocking of lavatory paper goods and soap. Removal and disposal of trash from trash bins. Basic cleaning of aircraft seats tray tables, conference console/beverage trays, seat pockets, and armrests. Ensuring seat belts are uniformly crossed. Ensuring correct safety evacuation card and seat pocket contents are in place and in good condition. Basic cleaning and sanitizing of galley countertops/drains/spigots, exterior cabinet surfaces/latches, and galley trash cans and/or trash compartments. Basic cleaning of aircraft ovens, coffee pots/burner/housing, and galley floors. Removal and disposal of trash from galley trash cans, trash compartments, and cabin trash compartments Basic cleaning of aircraft windows/frames/shades, air vents, passenger service units, walls/kick plates, bulkhead/dividers, and closets. Ensuring pillows and blankets are clean and properly folded, and returned to specified stowage locations. Vacuum floors and under seats/seat cushions. Basic cleaning of aircraft flight deck windows/glare shields, flight display monitors, flight deck inside surfaces (mirror, oxygen gear, and nose gear sites), sliding table/cup holders and floors. Forward control panel, console panel, control pedestal and forward/aft fuse panels dusted and vacuumed. Removal and disposal of trash from flight deck Monitor the condition of the aircraft’s interior and exterior on a daily basis. Detailing and cleaning of the exterior of aircraft. This includes polishing of leading edge bright work, cleaning and waxing of the painted surfaces. Cleaning the Office / Restrooms / Kitchen / Conference Room / Pilot Lounge. Cleaning hangar floor with floor scrubbing machine. Porter VIP’s cars, fueling and cleaning. Assisting aircraft launch and recovery operations of company as well as visitor aircraft on an as needed basis. Assist passengers as necessary. Open and hold doors for passengers. Assist loading and unloading baggage on aircraft. Checking appearance and stock the aircraft for all flight departures. Maintaining a professional attitude and appearance at all times. Hangar operation, cleaning, and miscellaneous needs. Aircraft wing walker and/or spotting aircraft movements into and out of the hangar. Scheduling maintenance on the hangar and associated equipment. Including the various doors and gates. Pick up all areas of the company hangar and departure lounge on an as-needed basis. Occasional phone and gate answering and message taking. Assist outside vendors who are coming into the hangar to perform maintenance / Catering / Drivers / Taxis. Keep inventory of aircraft cabin supplies as well as hangar supplies and obtaining replacements as needed. Assist / monitoring outside contractors who are doing work in or around the hangar. Preparation of aircraft servicing supplies/equipment for all flight departures Qualifications: Experience with aircraft operation including line service, desirable towing and aircraft cleaning. At least one (1) year of related experience cleaning houses, offices, and/or buildings Self-motivated with ability to multi-task Creative and innovative to improve delivery of service excellence Ability to develop effective relationships at all levels In addition to these qualifications, you must also: Pass a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) 10-year background check. Pass a pre-employment drug test Pass a Department of Homeland Security/TSA security assessment and FBI background check. Legally eligible to work in the United States Physical Requirements: Stand, bend, and/or stoop for different periods of time Be able to lift 50 pounds Walk up/down different types of stairs at various angles Learn the various types of aircraft and their individual cleaning requirements Able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment, under tight time constraints Able to handle multiple tasks and seek assistance from fellow team members Interact directly with crew, Flight Attendant and fellow team members to resolve problems and/or issues that may arise.
