Amplification of the SM proposal is required on the following:
a. Estimate manhours required for embodiment.
b. Estimate manhours required for manufacture of parts.
c. Identify parts required including supply management codes and LPO.
d. Confirm parts can be manufacture including details.
e. Identification of systems and equipment, which would be affected by this SM including details.
Report on the effects on:

Maintenance, including associated manual and automatic test procedures.

7. Outline Design
Provide an outline design including details on the following:
a. A list of the equipment that will be introduced, re-positioned, re-routed, or removed, including, LRUs,
antennae, controls, connectors and cables.
b. Proposals for fitment of LRUs and other items, not directly operated by aircrew, including those
providing necessary environmental services such as cooling or heating.
c. The proposed layout of aircrew operated controls and displays.
d. Detail of any consequential re-positioning of existing equipment.
e. Proposals for any changes required in cockpit lighting.
f. An assessment of the adequacy of aircraft electric power supplies to meet any additional
requirements imposed by the SM.
g. Detail of proposed interfaces between aircraft electrical power supplies and equipment introduced or
affected by the SM.
h. An assessment of the effect of the SM on aircraft weight and balance.
i. An assessment of the structural and aerodynamic implications of the design and the extent to which
these will require clearance by the aircraft Designer.
j. A note of other aircraft or equipment modifications, which are either essential to the SM or
consequential on its embodiment.
