Meeting called to order at 7:20 pm.
November minutes will be approved at February meeting as no quorum
available. December meeting was cancelled.
EXECUTIVE REPORTS:
Head Convenor (Jodi) –Bottle drive receipts are to be submitted by Jan 19th.
Andrew will post information on the Volunteer Credit on the website to clarify the
refunds applicable. Rachel Hoey requested registration numbers from Shannon
for Tim Horton’s sponsorship for year end. We received money in 2011-12 season
from Tim Horton’s. Leftover items from previous years from Tim Horton’s can be
given to Novice players.
Member at Large-apparel (KaraLee) –No report
Treasurer (Liz M) –Income Statement as circulated. The following are team fines:
Midget Rep-$60; Midget House-$105; Bantam Rep-$75; Atom Dev-$15 and Atom
House-$150, most for late game sheets. Liz will contact the Skating Club
regarding increase in the rates for Can-Skate members.
Tournament Coordinator (Liz P) – No report
Member at Large – (Andrew) – No report
Secretary – (Brenda) – No report.
Team First – (Bryn) – No report
President – (Crystal) – Special General Meeting was held on November 27th to
update name change from Society to Association.
OLD BUSINESS
 There was not enough time to organize 3 on 3 tournament before the end
of 2012 so will look to a March 22-23 date with BMI as sponsor. Crystal will
check with the Recreation Department as to ice availability.
 Umbrella association discussion will be tabled to February meeting.
 Email motions will be added to minutes after vote at February meeting.
NEW BUSINESS
 Daryl Jenner will be organizing a charity game with the Pee Wee Rep team
against local celebrity players and media on Feb. 23rd or March 2nd. He will
donate the proceeds to Cancer Society and to Jodi Breitkreuz equally.
 The Benevolent Fund committee will meet to discuss assistance for a player
on the Pee Wee House team for tournament fees.
 Playoff 2013 format was presented.
 SMHA year-end banquet will be April 6th for senior levels (Pee Wee to
Midget) and April 7th for junior levels (Novice to Atom). The Senior banquet
will be a spaghetti dinner with prizes and the Junior year-end will be road
hockey with hot dogs and drinks.
 OMAHA Semi-Annual meeting was Jan 13th with no SMHA executive
attending resulting in a $100 fine. OMAHA AGM will be May 26th.
 BC Hockey AGM will be June 7-9 at Sun Peaks in Kamloops. Anyone
interested in attending contact Crystal.
 SMHA AGM will be Thursday April 18th in the Banquet Room.
