11 December 2015 University opportunities Nominations for the Teaching Awards 2016 are now open This is your chance to nominate a teacher, administrative, technical member of staff or Course Rep who has made a real impact on your learning experience during your University adventure. Your nominations will be recognised at the Teaching Awards later on in the year, which you may even be invited to attend to support your nominee! To nominate just go to www.kentunion.co.uk/teachingawards Is it useful to have your lectures recorded? The faculty rep for sciences would like to survey students about lecture recordings and how useful they are. We think that students find lecture recordings very helpful, and we'd like to present the results at a Faculty SLTB to encourage lecturers to record lectures. https://unionkent.wufoo.eu/forms/lecture-recordings-survey/ Simon Cooksey, Undergraduate School Rep Student Project grants available Applications for the Student Projects Grant Scheme will be closed on Friday 18 December, 2015.
