Myrtle Rust is a very serious
fungal disease of many
garden and bushland plants
of the Myrtaceae family
including;
Eucalyptus, Melalueca,
Callistemon, Leptospermum,
Syzigium, Agonis flexuosa,
Metrosideros excelsa.
The yellow spores of Myrtle
Rust can easily be spread by;
infected plants,
contaminated equipment,
wind, water, animals,
humans (on clothing and
jewellery), vehicles.

March the peak. The
influence of La Nina on
Australian rainfall and
temperature typically
peaks during winter to
mid-summer, then
weakens over the
following autumn.
