Koraes Day School Registration Packet
2014-2015 (K-8)
New for this year (details enclosed):
1)
No August on-site registration. Registration
begins NOW. No initial large payment.
2)
Online Registration is now open through July 30th for all
existing Koraes families. Tuition payments can begin in August
when registering in June.
3)
Every family is now responsible to pay their own Church
stewardship directly to the Church office. You must provide a
letter from the Parish stating your paid 2014 Stewardship in
order to qualify for lower tuition rates.
4)
Tuition and activity fees are now combined into one number
for easy calculation. Eleven (11) and twelve (12) month Facts
payment programs are available.
5)
Student assistance program is closed to new, incoming
families. Changes have been made to the program for
qualifying families as well.
6)
Application for student assistance must be completed by July
15th, 2014 for the 2014-2015 school year. You will be notified
of any awards by August 15th.
7)
Take advantage of our Koraes Promoter Pilot Program to
reduce your overall tuition expense.

20th, 2014 to qualify for the tuition amounts listed above.

Late registration penalty (Aug 1st, 2014 or later)
Add $300 per family.

from any Orthodox Parish (including ours):
Add $500 per family.
Notes: For those families who need assistance with online registration, please contact our Church office
to schedule an appointment. They will guide you through the website process in a private office for you to
complete.
12 month payment plans are available if online registration is completed by July 10th beginning in August.
Any delay to register your child will reduce the number of months available for our payment programs.

All of our school accounting is done through this Facts online system. All parents
are required to register online and are responsible for setting up their own payment plans.
Any credits due a family due to a student assistance financial grant or by participating in our
Koraes Promoter Pilot Program will be adjusted to your account FOLLOWING your setup of your full tuition registration.
ALL families must comply with this registration process to reserve your child's seat in their next grade classroom.

Student Assistance Program
2014-2015 School Year
Please read carefully.
There have been changes made to this program
Families have benefited greatly from helping their children attend Koraes during their time of personal
need. While deeply understanding its value, this program has been underfunded for the last few years
and has necessitated changes in the program. We regret our choices, but must move forward with a more
constrained program for the coming school year.
All of these constraints will be reviewed annually and will depend on available funding.
The changes include:
1) This program is closed to new families enrolling in the school for the 2014-2015 year.
2) Awards that can be given to any family can only be made up to $2,500 per child depending on level
of need. The family is expected to pay the difference between their billed tuition and fees and the
award given to them on a monthly FACTS payment program.
3) All families must apply online through the Facts Grant Assessment website to be considered for
this program. There is a $30 fee that the family is responsible for paying. NO EXCEPTIONS.
4) One parent from each family awarded assistance must commit to work one day at the Jr. Olympics
(for the KPTA) as well as sign up to work at one additional event for the KPTA. Failure to do so will
automatically eliminate their possible eligibility in future years for assistance.
5) Church stewardship, class trips, after school clubs and other student fees that come up during the
year are the responsibility of the family and must be paid individually for each of your children.
6) All applications for this program must be filed no later than July 15th, 2014 to be considered.
Families will be notified by August 15th, 2014 of any award given.
7) All parents who are given an award will be asked to initial this sheet indicating both their
understanding of this program as well as the commitments they agree to make in fulfilling their
responsibilities with respect to this program.

Koraes Promoter Pilot Program
2014-2015 School Year
“The greatest compliment that a family can give Koraes is a referral.”
We want to offer each of our existing Koraes families an opportunity to financially benefit
from helping us increase our fall enrollment in grades 1-8. [These are the grade levels
where we can (in most cases) accommodate more students.]
The school board has determined that it can significantly reduce our school deficit by
maintaining a class size of approximately 25 children per class across all grades.
You can help us greatly in achieving greater financial stability for Koraes by sharing with
others all of the great things that Koraes offers your children and convincing them to
attend. Transfers into our school are welcome.
The program is simple. Talk to your friends and relatives about having their children
attend Koraes. If they show interest, call the school office and give us their family name,
children’s names and grade levels, address, phone number and email address so that we
can contact them and invite them to visit the school.
When they register and then attend in the fall, we will credit your tuition account by $500
per child on September 30th, 2014 for the 2014-2015 school year. Only having the children
actually attend will qualify you for an award. (Making a referral with no children attending
does not qualify for an award.)
Multiple family referrals from one attending Koraes family are welcome. Tuition credits
can only be used for the fall new school year and cannot be carried over. Verification of
referral will be asked of the incoming family to be eligible. Only one family can receive this
credit for referring a family that enrolls.
Only new (non-attending) family referrals qualify for this program.
All referrals and subsequent registrations must occur by July 30th, 2014 to qualify.
