Kentucky Unbridled Horsepower Tour

Day 1
3:00 p.m. Arrive and check-in at General Butler State Resort Park and take some time to relax or wander around.

6:00 p.m. Dinner in the state park’s River Room.
Day 2
7:00 a.m. Breakfast at the state park.
8:00 a.m. Depart for The Kentucky Speedway. (15 miles) (www.kentuckyspeedway.com)
8:30 a.m. The Kentucky Speedway is home to NASCAR Sprint Series’ Kentucky 300 as well as a Nationwide
Series & Camping World Truck Race. Your visit to the speedway may include a presentation and a tour
of the speedway facilities.
10:00 a.m. Depart for Georgetown. (70 miles) (www.georgetownky.com)
11:30 p.m. Lunch at FAVA’s Restaurant or another of the area’s restaurants.
12:30 p.m. Your tour of Historic Georgetown may include the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky, home of the
Camry, Avalon & Venza automobiles, and Old Friends, Inc., a retirement home for thoroughbred race
horses.
3:30 p.m. Depart for Lexington. (20 miles) (www.visitlex.com)
4:00 p.m. Check into one of Lexington’s many lodging facilities for some relaxing before your supper outing.
5:00 p.m. Depart for The Kentucky Horse Park for “Old Kentucky Night” to include a tour through the International
Museum of the Horse.
8:30 p.m. Return to overnight lodging.
Day 3
7:00 a.m. Depart for Keeneland.
7:30 a.m. Breakfast at the Track Kitchen followed by a tour of the racecourse, watching morning workouts and
some time in the Keeneland Gift Shop, of course.
9:30 a.m. Depart on a Bluegrass Driving Tour with a behind-the-scenes visit to Three Chimneys Farm.
12:00 p.m. Lunch at Darlin’ Jean’s Apple Cobbler Café.
1:00 p.m. Continue your tour of the Lexington area to include Ashland, the home of Henry Clay and the Mary Todd
Lincoln Home.
3:30 p.m. Depart for Shelbyville. (55 miles) (www.visitshelbyky.com)
4:45 p.m. Check into an area lodging facility.
6:00 p.m. Dinner at the Claudia Sanders Dinner House.
Day 4
7:30 a.m. Breakfast at your motel or an area restaurant.
8:30 a.m. Depart on your tour of the Shelbyville area with stops at Undulata Saddlebred farm tour, Wakefield
Scearce Galleries and downtown for some shopping time.
12:00 p.m. Lunch at an area restaurant.
1:00 p.m. Depart for home.
