NEW PARTNERSHIP MEANS LOWER COSTS
FOR MECU MEMBERS, ROYAL FARMS EMPLOYEES
BALTIMORE, MD (6/19/15) --- A new partnership between MECU of Baltimore,
Inc. and Royal Farms will mean MECU members and Royal Farms employees can
now save time and money.
The new partnership agreement between MECU, the largest credit union
headquartered in Baltimore City, and Royal Farms will make all Royal Farms ATMs
completely free to MECU members.
The partnership will also make Royal Farms a Select Employee Group (SEG) of
MECU, enabling Royal Farms employees to take advantage of MECU’s low-cost
checking accounts, car loans, mortgages, and other services.
“We are excited to be providing our members with yet another service to make
access to our financial services easier, and to be extending MECU membership and
benefits to the family of Royal Farms employees,” says John Hamilton, Interim CEO
at MECU.
The new partnership adds more than 160 surcharge-free ATMs to the thousands of
surcharge-free ATMs already available to MECU members nationwide. Royal Farms
ATMs are conveniently located in areas where MECU members live or work, and
along many routes to popular vacation spots.
The partnership also means Royal Farms can now offer MECU membership as a free
employee benefit. Since MECU tends to offer lower rates on loans and lower cost
checking accounts than many other financial institutions, Royal Farms employees
have the opportunity to save money by joining MECU. This benefit will also extend
to the families of Royal Farms employees, who will be eligible to join MECU after the
employee joins.
