Association of National Teaching Fellows National Teaching Fellowship Workshop Sponsored by Ede and Ravenscroft Date: Monday 13 July 2015 Venue: MacDonald Burlington hotel, Birmingham Times: 11.00 - 16.00hrs FREE* The National Teaching Fellowship Scheme (NTFS), managed by the Higher Education Academy, is recognised as the premier UK award for teaching excellence in Higher Education. Since its inception in 2000, 643 National Teaching Fellows (NTFs) drawn from academia, learning technology and student support have been recognised for outstanding contributions to HE. The Association of National Teaching Fellows (ANTF) represents all NTFs. The ANTF vision is to enhance and embed the impact of National Teaching Fellows in promoting excellence in teaching and learning. The ANTF aims to encourage and support nominations from potential NTFs and to promote the value of the NTFS and the Association. The ANTF are proud to be sponsored by Ede and Ravenscroft. The ANTF present an Ede and Ravenscroft sponsored workshop to support and encourage the next generation of aspirant NTFs through national events. This free event will offer: - an overview of the NTF Scheme and the nomination process presentations by NTFs that discuss their work towards achieving an NTF award and their subsequent activities discussion of how an application can be developed; examples of the level of evidence required; consideration of how to develop work towards an NTF nomination examples of the exceptional achievements of NTFs The event is intended for those involved in the selection and support of nominees for National Teaching Fellowships and for prospective nominees themselves. It will provide valuable networking opportunities for all. This event is free and includes refreshments and lunch. *Please note that a £40 fee will be required if booked places are cancelled.
