Parent-Child Mother Goose Training What? Do you like to play, sing and have fun with children? Why? Do you want to support the growth, development and wellbeing of children and families in the Cowichan Valley? How? Become a Parent-Child Mother Goose Facilitator! When? Friday January 9 and Saturday January 10, 2015 Where? St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 531 Herbert Street Duncan Parent-Child Mother Goose (PCMG) is a program for parents and children to learn songs, rhymes and stories. This program is designed to nurture parent-child relationships and foster family wellness, while enhancing communication skills, parenting strategies, socialization and healthy child development. The cost of this 2 day training program is being funded through the Cowichan Valley Mother Goose Community Collaborative (CVMGCC), Success by 6 and SD79 funding dollars. We are looking for committed individuals to receive this two-day facilitator training at no cost, in exchange for a commitment of facilitating 3 programs over a 2 year period in the Cowichan Valley. If you are interested in this training, but do not plan to facilitate three traditional PCMG programs in the Cowichan Valley, you can still participate in this wonderful training opportunity for the cost of $225.00. Each Parent-Child Mother Goose Program is 8 – 10 weeks, one hour in length, with time needed for both pre and post program preparation, clean-up and record keeping. An honorarium will be provided for each facilitator and program delivered. A partnership between SD 79, CCSA, VIRL and VIHA will provide for ongoing support and coordination of the PCMG programs.
