Dear Mr Bowler
Due to the club’s recent announcement regarding ticket prices for our Capital 1 fixture against
Bolton, Sandbach Travelling Alex thought it was necessary to contact you to get a clubs understanding on how the pricing structure was agreed between the two clubs. We understand both clubs do need to agree a price, but considering both clubs agreed between £10-£12 in the first round of the competition, the price of this fixture seems very expensive.
We have done some research into ticket prices for the second round based on the 8 league 1 teams who have home fixtures. Please see the chart (on the following page) which explains our findings, which are explained below.

MK Dons (who entertain Manchester United) and Bradford City (who have a derby clash against
Leeds United) are the only teams who have no reduction in ticket prices. Gillingham even have a
17% reduction, but they do entertain premier league opposition in Newcastle United.

Games similar to ours are Port Vale v Cardiff, Scunthorpe v Reading and Swindon v Brighton. In all 3 instances, tickets prices for adults are at least £10 cheaper and in two of the fixtures Port Vale and
Scunthorpe are charging just £1 for kids while Swindon are charging just £5, this means in all 3 instances you can buy 1 adult and 1 child ticket cheaper than you can buy 1 adult ticket at Crewe.
The other tie, Walsall who are entertaining premier league Crystal Palace, are charging cheaper prices then ourselves.
When you compare the 4 teams with similar games to ourselves, (Port Vale, Scunthorpe, Swindon and Walsall) the reduction in price for the Capital 1 Cup for an adult ticket is between 47-52% compared with our 20% and for Under 18s between 43-92% cheaper compared with out 27%.
We would appreciate your thoughts on this matter and look forward to hearing from you in due course.
Yours Faithfully
Scott Kynnersley
