Assignment: The Life of Peace River
An educational book company called “EduBooks” has approached you for a rare and wonderful
opportunity. This book company is looking to create a series of educational children’s books about rivers
around the world. Because you live near the Peace River, and just learned all about rivers in grade 8
science class, this book company is coming to you. They are looking for you to create an educational
book called “The Life of Peace River” and they also have a little bit of criteria for the things that they
want you to describe in the book:
Criteria:

They want to know the characteristics of the Peace River from its watershed all the way until it
meets the ocean.
They want you to go into depth (they told Miss Surette the more scientific information the
better)
Things to Remember:

This is a children’s book: so a lot of pictures, and a little text
The book should be written from the point of view of the river
