APPLICATION CRITERIA All applicants must meet the following minimum criteria: LEGACY SCHOLARSHIP All incoming high school graduates meeting the minimum criteria are eligible to apply for consideration by the Alumni Association Awards and Recognition Committee. CREATING TRADITION The Alumni Association seeks to acknowledge and reward individuals who attend UW-Green Bay in the footsteps of their parent(s), stepparent(s), sibling(s), step-sibling(s), legal guardian(s) and/or grandparent(s). The Alumni Association will award one $2000 scholarship starting the 2015-2016 academic year. $500 will be dispersed the second semester of each academic year not to exceed $2000 in four years, provided the recipient’s first semester cumulative GPA is at least a 3.0. If the student leaves for any reason, s/he forfeits the remaining payment. The recipient is invited and encouraged to attend the first UW-Green Bay Alumni Board of Directors meeting of the school year and the April Alumni Awards Recognition Dinner. 1) Parent(s), step-parent(s), legal guardian(s), sibling(s), step-sibling(s), and/or grandparent(s) received an official degree from UW-Green Bay 2) Incoming high school graduates only 3) Minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 CRITERIA FOR SELECTION Selection committee decisions are based on the responses to the four essay questions. Each essay question will be weighted at 25%. Each essay question must be answered on one (1) single-sided, 8.5” by 11” page using double-spaced text format, one-inch margins and Arial 11-point font size. Any individual answer exceeding one (1) page will not be accepted. All pages must be merged into one document. Emphasis is placed on quality, not quantity. The Alumni Association Awards and Recognition Committee are interested in who you are as a person and how UW-Green Bay will be influential in creating/continuing a family tradition. The Alumni Association recognizes students who will take advantage of the unique educational opportunities at UW-Green Bay and continue his or her family legacy.
