Since 1992, Gunda Lambrecht has worked in her own private practice as a physiotherapist and osteopath. Together with her experienced team, she specialises in the treatment of all orthopaedic, paediatric, neurological and temporomandibular conditions. Mrs Lambrecht holds a Diploma in Physiotherapy and additional Postgraduate Certificates in Manual Therapy and Bobath Therapy. She finished the five year osteopathy course to receive her Certificate in 2002.

Since 2000 Mrs Lambrecht has worked free-lance for the European Space Agency

(ESA). Her responsibilities include developing and implementing all the physiotherapy programmes for the European astronauts. Mrs Lambrecht is instrumental in all the fitness and rehabilitation programmes before, during and after the long-duration flights. Since 2005 she has been involved in 8 European long-duration missions including the Astolab mission with Thomas Reiter and the Futura mission of Samantha

Cristoforetti. Gunda Lambrecht continually develops new physiotherapeutic techniques and treatment strategies to minimise the effect of zero gravity on the human body. She has presented these findings at many international conventions.

Gunda Lambrecht is a member of the Lumbo-pelvic Stability Research Group, Australian

Catholic University (ACU), Brisbane, the Topical Team of the University of Newcastle and the University of Queensland, the Topical Team Post Mission Exercise of the European

Space Agency and the Bundesveband für Osteopathie.
