Young Farmer & Rancher Ag industry Tour - May 29-31st, 2015
Southeastern Oregon
Join us for this fun filled tour! We have stops lined up to see a variety of farms, ranches & processing facilities, including
grain, potato, dairy, fish, tree fruits, beef cattle, and nursery operations. We will also visit the historic round barn near
Frenchglen, have several meals with local farm bureau leaders, and see some of the state’s beautiful geography. Tour
will depart from Bob Friend’s Ranch near Sisters at 7am Friday May 29th, and return by 5pm Sunday May 31st.

April 25th for YFR member priority registration
April 26st - May 15th registration open for all OFB members
*Limited to first 35 registrants. Must be OFB voting or suppporting member to attend*
Cost:
 $40 per person
 Checks payable to Oregon Farm Bureau (please write YF&R Tour on memo line)
 Lodging reservations & costs will be the responsibility of attendees (see reverse side)
 Transportation for the tour Friday thru Sunday is included. Attendees responsible for getting
to departure location near Sisters. Most meals included .

Lodging: It is the responsibility of attendees to make necessary lodging reservations. If you have not received
registration confirmation, it is suggested you confirm with the Oregon Farm Bureau office that your registration was
received and you have a spot on the trip before making room reservations (OFB 503.399.1701).

This will be a unique lodging situation. There are 5 cabins sleeping 6 each (queen room, room w/ two twins, and
sofa sleeper in loft) with a shared bathroom. There are also a limited number of private lodge rooms – a queen,
a king, and family room with queen and two twins. To fit our group we need to maximize our use of the space. If
you have people you’d like to stay with, please coordinate prior to calling, or tell Karen who you’d like to stay
with when making reservations. Rates vary depending on specific sleeping arrangement, but most will be from
$56-64 per person. Must make reservations by May 15th. Buffalo Saloon in lodge open in evening. CASH/CHECK

Kick-off BBQ hosted by Deschutes County Farm Bureau at 6 pm, for people traveling over Thursday (Tour bus
departs Friday 7am). State YF&R committee meeting following dinner (everyone welcome to stay).
