UNDERGRADUATE REASSESSED WORK
NOTES FOR SUBMISSION
All work notified by the exam board as required to be reassessed must be submitted
through HELIOS. For students who have approved deferred assessment or mitigating
circumstances, work is uploaded in the same way.
You will be able to upload your work via the following modules:
RA100 – Year 1
RA300 – Years 2 and 3
Within these modules there will be the appropriate module and coursework number for
your reassessment(s). Please ensure that you upload the correct essay to the correct
module and coursework.
Cover Sheets
The correct coversheet must be the first page of all submitted work.
Please use the templates provided on Helios – there are separate coversheets for
coursework and end-of-year essays/dissertation/project.
1. Coursework
The coursework coversheet for reassessments should be fully completed and must
be the first page of your submission.
Resubmission links will be open from 01 August 2011.
The deadline for all submissions is 23:00 on 01 September 2011 as defined by
the HELIOS clock.
 Please ensure that you start to upload your work at least 15 minutes BEFORE
the deadline since you will NOT be able to upload once 23:00 by the HELIOS
clock has been reached. If you have more than one piece of coursework to
upload start in plenty of time! 
2. End-of-Year Essays and Dissertations/Research Projects
Your end-of-year essays/dissertation/research project will be submitted anonymously so
that they can be blind marked by academic staff. Anonymous submissions are made
using your student identification number by not using your name on any part of the
submitted work.
Please note the following:



End-of-year Essay – there is a submission point attached to the relevant module
for which you are submitting an end-of-year essay
Undergraduate Dissertation (Year 3 students only) – the submission point is for
LE300 Undergraduate Dissertation or PH599 Philosophy Dissertation
Psychology Research Project (Year 3 students only) - the submission point is
PY399 Psychology Research Project
The EYA coversheet for reassessments should be fully completed and must be the
first page of your submission.
Resubmission links will be open from 01 August 2011.
The deadline for all submissions is 23:00 on 01 September 2011 as defined by
the HELIOS clock.
 In the “Submission Title” box on HELIOS you must put your student id
number followed by “Dissertation”, “Psychology Project” or “End-of-year
Essay” 
Do not put any other wording in the Submission Title box!
 Please ensure that you start to upload your work at least 15 minutes BEFORE
the deadline for EACH end-of-year assessment since you will NOT be able to
upload once 23:00 by the HELIOS clock has been reached. 
Problems
Problems with uploading to HELIOS must be notified to Nadeem Ahmed by e-mail so
that we have a record of them. If you have a problem very close to the deadline, please
ensure that your work is attached to the e-mail with a full explanation and statement as
to which module it is to be uploaded.
Computer problems will not be accepted as a reason for non-submission. Please
ensure that you back up your work regularly and keep a separate copy of all your work
on a USB, flash drive or in an electronic drop box (e.g. www.dropbox.com).
Please note that there are no extensions to the deadline unless you have exceptional
and unforeseen mitigating circumstances. These must be notified to Susan Lewis as
soon as possible.
