HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION
Mayo County Council wish to inform the public of a FREE collection service for household hazardous
waste on
Saturday, 12th December, 2015, from 10am – 2pm
in
The PND Business Park, Foxford Road, Swinford
Do you have any of the following items for disposal?
Paint, paint cans and related materials.
Veterinary Medicines (No Sharps)
Pesticides, herbicides and insecticides.
Household acids and bases, detergents.
Old medicines (no sharps) and cosmetics.
Ink Cartridges
Glues and adhesives.
Aerosol cans.
Waste oil disposal.
Oil filters
Waste cooking oil will also be accepted at this event.
The above items SHOULD NOT be placed with normal household waste for landfill. Items of household
hazardous waste can be brought to this event for safe disposal or alternatively hazardous waste is also
accepted at both of Mayo County Council’s Recycling Centres located at Derrinumera and Rathroeen.




Only items listed above will be accepted.
Items to be packaged and sealed appropriately.
No unlabelled items will be accepted.
Commercial use is strictly prohibited.
