Corinthian Casuals Player Profiles – 2015 / 2016 Management Team James Bracken Although barely in his thirties, James already has a fantastic managerial record which includes steering Sutton United reserves to three consecutive Suburban League Premier title wins including last season in which his side remained unbeaten for the whole campaign. Bracken picked up no less than seven trophies in 2015. Joe Davies Joe’s playing days saw him rise through the ranks of the youth system at Corinthian-Casuals, into the reserves and onto the first team. Has since developed into a fantastic coach and surely still picks up wise words of wisdom from his father, Tony, who also once held the Assistant Manager position at Casuals. Dan Pringle Dan started his football career at Crystal Palace, regularly turning out for their youth sides and playing in the FA Youth Cup. At only 22, he’s by far the youngest of the coaching set-up but with a serious knee injury preventing him competing, Dan has taken to a coaching role. Carly Doyle Physio who works hard getting the players back to full fitness, Carly graduated in Sports Rehab at St Mary’s in 2006 and was at Met Police before joining us here at Casuals. In her spare time Carly enjoys long distance running and has completed the London Marathon in just over 3 hours. Alan Winnett Goalkeeping Coach; Alan is a long serving member of the club having had involvement managing the reserves and then progressing to the first XI. Playing Squad Danny Bracken #OneDannyBracken started his career at West Ham before moving to Sutton & Tooting, progressing to the 1st team squad before being signed at the start of the 2010/2011 season. Danny is now established as 1st team goalkeeper, with well over 100 consecutive first team appearances to his name. Niall Wright Attacking full back / midfielder who gets forward whenever possible. Niall signed from Woking FC in 2014 and immediately cemented a place in his first team. However, injury hampered his promising start. Niall has also represented the FA during their 150th anniversary celebrations. Danny Dudley Danny has been a commanding figure at Centre Back for a couple of seasons now, and is a previous winner of the ‘most improved player’ award. Can play across the whole defensive line. Played a huge part in keeping a clean sheet vs Corinthians for 78 minutes in Brazil in 2015 in front of 30,000 fans. Previous clubs include Chipstead and Whyteleafe. Dave Hodges Dave came to pre-season trials in July 2010 and after some reserve matches progressed to 1st team duty. What he failed to mention to anyone was that he played for Glossop North End in the 2009 FA Vase final at Wembley and was also their leading scorer! Dave has now made over 100 appearances for the club. His versatility makes him comfortable anywhere down the left side. Daniel Green A 29 year old former Chelsea trainee, Danny started as a striker but has now become more defensive minded. Danny is one of the longest serving members of the team playing over 200 games and is a former club player of the year. Previous clubs include Walton & Hersham. Was singled out by Corinthians manager Tite for being outstanding in the historic match between the two sides in Sao Paulo. Ross Defoe Left back who broke into the first team after working his way through the reserves. Previously at Molesey and Epsom & Ewell. When on form he is arguably the most skilful player at the club. Loves his photo being taken and is a menace with a selfie stick! Juevan Spencer Skilful winger now in his fourth season at the club. Has serious pedigree and pace to burn. Was voted last year’s ‘Most Improved Player of the Season’. Juevan was formerly on the books at AFC Wimbledon, Salisbury City and Whyteleafe. Sekou Kaba This attacking midfielder joined Corinthian-Casuals in the summer of 2015. Sekou has real Ryman Premier pedigree having played regular first-team football for Harrow Borough. Other previous clubs include Sutton United. Shaun Okojie A powerful and imposing striker who joined Corinth ahead of the 2015/16 season. The 20 year old Okojie previously made appearances for Southern League side Hitchin Town where he impressed by hitting a phenomenal 24 goals in nine games for their under-19s. Stefan Joseph An experienced Ryman league striker who’s played for the likes of East Grinstead and Chipstead joined Casuals in 2015. 25 year old Stef has also spent time with Sutton United, Guildford City, Croydon and Icelandic side BÍ/Bolungarvík! Diego Maradona No… not that one! However, just like his famous namesake, this exciting young Brazilian (not Argentinian) winger causes defences multiple problems. Made headlines when he scored on his debut for Corinthian-Casuals versus Met Police in July 2015. If only it was with his hand… Terry Murray A young defender who joins the club in July 2015 after winning the Suburban League with Sutton United. Has immediately gelled well with Danny Dudley at the back and cemented a place in the first XI. Warren Morgan Warren is a talented right-back who joins us in the summer of 2015. Has previously played for James Bracken at Sutton United and spent time with Carshalton Athletic last season. Ben Cotton Technically gifted in midfield, Ben is one to watch. Previously with Sutton United, Ben joined the Casuals in 2015. Ben King Playing either left back or centre midfield, Ben has real pedigree. Progressing from Sutton reserves to the first XI has given him invaluable experience at a higher level. Ben has also turned out for Tonbridge Angels. Rhys Coleman This talented centre back started out with Charlton Athletic before joining the Glenn Hoddle Academy in Jerez, Spain. Rhys has plenty of experience playing for Tooting and Mitcham, Carshalton Athletic and Grays Athletic. Brandon Johnson This no-nonsense defensive midfielder is a real ball winner who won honours with Sutton United’s Youth and Reserve sides before joining Corinthian-Casuals in 2015. Kevant Serbony This talented player has spent time with AFC Wimbledon, Sutton United and Hampton & Richmond before coming to Casuals in July 2015. Josh Uzun The former Leyton Orient youngster immediately impressed on his debut in July 2015 and continues to do so. Josh is a versatile midfielder who can play anywhere across the park. Josh has a keen eye for goal and will cause trouble for any defender. Cherno Mendy Cherno is a versatile attacking player that can operate up front or on either wing and has formed part of the Gambian national side at u17 and u20 level. As a youth player Mendy was at AFC Wimbledon before leaving for a spell at West Bromwich Albion. Has also conducted trials at QPR as well as playing for the likes of Dulwich Hamlet and Grays Athletic. Emmanuel Akokhia This exciting and dangerous forward began his career with Bolton Wanderers and Crystal Palace before joining AFC Wimbledon, where he first came to the attention of Staines` boss Marcus Gayle. Has also played for Harrow Borough before joining Casuals in 2015. Emil Salama Won player of the year in 3 consecutive seasons for Sutton United's youth team having scored 55 goals in 71 appearances predominantly from the wing. Also scored an impressive 20 goals in 25 games for the title-winning Reserves last year, before joining Casuals in August 2015. Matt Reece A striker that looks dangerous every time he enters the field. Matt was with James Bracken at Sutton United where he excelled up top helping to win the Suburban League Premier title in their unbeaten season.
