HGG FDA DISCLAIMER
Nevertheless in spite of these findings by specialized experts in the field of Preventative Health
Care, the American FDA requires the following disclaimer:
“This weight reduction treatment includes the use of HCG, a drug which has not been approved
by the Food and Drug Administration as safe and effective in the treatment of obesity or weight
control. There is no substantial evidence that HCG increases weight loss beyond that resulting
from calorie reduction that it causes a more attractive or “normal” distribution of fat, or that it
decreases the hunger and discomfort associated with calorie restricted diets.”
IMPORTANT NOTIFICATIONS
Give yourself a HCG injection or take your sublingual drops first thing in the morning. Be sure
and drink at least 2 quarts of water, tea, or coffee daily. Eat only those things listed on the diet
list (protein, vegetables and fruit). Do not exceed 500 calories of items listed on the diet list.
HCG (injectable and sublingual) must be refrigerated and kept out of direct sunlight. Do not
shake the HCG. Gently swirl the bottle before using each time. Do not freeze the HCG. We
cannot replace your medication or refund your money if you ruin your medication by handling
it improperly)
There are only two forms for administering prescription HCG
1. Injectable HCG: This form you inject once daily. Refrigeration is required. Once mixed the
HCG should be used within 60 days and kept out of direct sunlight. Do not agitate, shake or
freeze.
2. Sublingual HCG Drops: Dosage: As directed on the label from the pharmacy
HCG Therapy Questions and Answers
Welcome to Genesis Weight and Age Management’s medical weight loss program. The medical
weight loss programs at Genesis Weight and Age Management are always doctor-guided, safe
and effective. This program will help you achieve your weight loss goals quickly and naturally.
HCG Hormone Therapy occurs without the use of stimulants of any type. It's a safe and
comfortable way to reach your weight loss goals and stay there permanently. We are
dedicated and committed to helping you through each phase of the program.
Let’s answer a few brief questions and answers before we get started with the HCG Diet and
Recipes.
Who is the right candidate for the HCG Hormone Therapy diet?
The majority of healthy persons are strong candidates. A Genesis Weight & Age Management
clinician will perform a medical history and examination to assess your bodies overall health
and to determine if HCG Hormone Therapy is a suitable weight loss program for you. HCG
Hormone Therapy is not available for women who are pregnant or nursing due to the potential
risks to the baby.
Is HCG Hormone Therapy safe for men?
Although Human Chorionic Gonadotropin is a hormone produced by the female's placenta
during pregnancy, it also is effective for men. It is present in every human tissue, including
males and non-pregnant women and is used for men for a variety of issues other than weight
loss. It is safe and effective for men to use as a weight loss therapy.
What Does HCG Do?
HCG stands for Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, a hormone produced by the placenta during
pregnancy. During pregnancy, the HCG almost completely controls the woman's metabolic
functions, using the woman’s own fat stores to feed the fetus in if she is unable to consume
enough calories. Although there are other providers of HCG, we have one of the longest HCG
cycles available.
How much weight will I lose with the HCG Hormone Therapy diet?
Most HCG Hormone Therapy dieters report a loss of 1 to 2 pounds per day*. At the very least,
patients should expect to see a loss of .5 pounds per day, and at the most, 3+ pounds per
day. During a 30-day treatment, patients can expect an average weight loss of 25 pounds.
(*Results vary by patient and are contingent on how closely the patient follows the prescribed
program.)
Is it healthy to lose 1 to 2 pounds per day with HCG Hormone Therapy injections?
HCG studies indicate that weight loss comes directly from abnormal fat rather than lean muscle
on this diet. Following the GENESIS Weight & Age plan assures that the weight loss comes
directly from abnormal fat tissue rather than lean muscle and does not strip the body of the
much needed muscle, vitamins and minerals essential to maintain good health. This diet
releases excessive amounts of fat-stored nutrients into the blood stream where the body
absorbs them. Even though you are only consuming 500 calories a day, the body feels as
though you are consuming 1500 – 2000 calories a day because this additional amount of
calories is released from your fat. HCG dieters report a feeling and appearance of greater
health and marvel at how fast the weight comes off and how much energy they have during the
diet.
Why does HCG Hormone Therapy follow a VLCD (very low calorie diet) of only 500 calories?
HCG Hormone Therapy injections cause your hypothalamus to mobilize the fat out of the
abnormal fat storage locations (hip, abdomen, thighs, saddlebags, double chins, pot bellies,
back fat etc.) so that it's available for use. While you are only consuming 500 calories, your
hypothalamus is continually releasing the fat stored in your body. Because of this, your body is
actually operating on thousands of calories a day. This is the reason HCG Hormone Therapy
dieters lose 1 to 2 pounds of fat or more per day without feeling hungry.
Would I lose the same amount of weight eating a very low calorie diet without the HCG
Hormone Therapy diet?
You can certainly lose weight by eating fewer calories and less fat, but because the body stores
fat during times of deprivation, you will most likely lose muscle and bone before fat. This causes
your cellular metabolism to slow down and in the long run, would make gaining weight easier
and result in decreased bone density and muscle mass. Many people lose weight only to gain
more back with traditional diets. This does not happen with the HCG diet because your
metabolism is not slowed down.
The reason that HCG therapy works is because the program resets your metabolism and
reprograms your body to use stored fat for energy. Most importantly, it doesn't affect your
muscles, bones and organs.
Will I be hungry on 500 calories a day?
It is common to experience mild hunger during the first few days of the HCG Hormone Therapy
diet however, it typically passes by the end of the first week. By the second week, you will find
that small serving sizes are completely satisfying. This is partially due to your hypothalamus
adjusting your metabolic rate, but largely due to the amount of calories circulating in your
system from the fat that is being released. It is common that HCG Hormone Therapy dieters feel
like they are stuffing themselves in order to reach the 500 calorie limit!
What is the hypothalamus gland?
HCG stimulates the hypothalamus. This gland allows the body to use stored or abnormal fat
reserves in order to provide constant nutrition to a growing fetus. When a non-pregnant
person takes this hormone, the abnormal fat is still released for use. Taking this hormone
allows the patient to burn abnormal fat, while keeping the necessary levels of structural and
normal fat. By stimulating the hypothalamus and the resulting weight loss, patients have
significant improvement in gout, rheumatism and arthritis, high blood pressure, gastric ulcers,
high cholesterol, coronary disease and cerebral hemorrhage.
There are 3 types of fat in our bodies:
1. Structural Fat: This fat provides support and protection to the organs, arteries and
coronaries of the body. It fills in the gaps between organs, and provides the pads of fat
cushioning the heels when we walk. It keeps the skin smooth and firm. An excess of structural
fat cannot cause obesity.
2. Normal Fat: The intestines receive their nutritional requirements from normal fat. This fuel
for the body is distributed all over the body. Excess of normal fat cannot cause obesity.
3. Abnormal Fat: This is the excess fat that causes obesity. Abnormal fat occurs when the body
ingests more nutrients than it needs at a time, and these nutrients are stored in locked fat
reserves. The accumulation of this fat occurs all over the body, but most commonly
accumulates on the buttocks, hips, stomach, arms, face, etc. This fat is kept as a potential
reserve, and is not available immediately as nutrition, like normal fat. When someone
overweight diets, they reduce their caloric intake. First, the body burns normal fat to make up
for the deficiency in calories. The body then burns structural fat when normal fat is
depleted. Only as a last, final resort will the body burn abnormal fat reserves. At this point, the
dieter has usually given up due to the hunger, weakness, and little result experienced. Dieter's
faces may become worn and tired and little improvement is seen in trouble areas holding
excess fat. This is because abnormal fat reserves are not being burned. HCG injections allow
the body to release these abnormal fat reserves, making the stored nutrients available, and
allowing the patient to burn this excess fat. Targeting abnormal fat will help you to achieve
weight loss with comfort and little frustration. At Genesis Weight and Age Management, our
medical professionals will administer this hormone safely to effectively help you reach your
weight loss goals.
How will the HCG Hormone Therapy diet protocol help me maintain my weight?
The HCG Hormone Therapy diet protocol is different because it addresses the root cause of
being overweight or obese — Abnormal Fat deposits. This protocol has the potential to
permanently correct the body's metabolism by restoring it to that of a healthy person. We all
know people who can eat more and not gain weight. This is because their “set point” is higher
and their resting metabolic rate is higher. The goal of the HCG diet is to reset your “set point”
so that it is more difficult to gain weight back.
Will I regain weight after the HCG Hormone Therapy diet?
After you reach your weight loss goal with the HCG Hormone Therapy diet, you will notice that
your appetite, eating behavior and body has changed. It is important to sustain these changes
by adopting a healthy lifestyle in order to maintain your weight. You will also find that a
minimum amount of exercise is sufficient for maintaining a healthy body. Small exercise
routines like yoga or 15-minutes of cardio per day can keep your heart rate up and the weight
regain down. With your hypothalamus reset your metabolism will be different and you will be
able to eat moderately without feeling the need to overeat. However, not exercising and
overeating can lead to weight regain.
Why else choose the HCG Hormone Therapy Program?
In addition to it resetting your metabolism, burning "abnormal fat," and being a relatively easy
weight loss solution, there are several other positive side effects associated with HCG Hormone
Therapy including increased energy, clearer thought processes and improved sleep.

pounds a week, the clinician will adjust your calorie allowance.
ADDITIONAL FACTS
If you are currently on thyroid medication, you may experience slower results.
Patients who have previously taken diuretics may also experience slower weight loss results.
Most patients experience more frequent urination. This is normal.
It is common to experience light headaches, typically around Day 4, while on the program.
Aspirin is permitted and recommended to alleviate your headache.
It is common that weight loss rates fluctuate. Males tend to lose more consistently, and female
weightless rates fluctuate more. This is due to water retention and variations in elimination of
water, and should not be confused with failure to burn fat. The body is still burning fat to
compensate for the deficiency of a 500 calorie diet, but water retention varies. These variations
will ultimately correct themselves.
If you have reached your target weight before the end of your HCG cycles and are experiencing
severe hunger, the clinician may increase your caloric intake to 800-1000 in order to maintain
the desired, stationary weight. This new higher caloric intake is maintained until the end of
Phase 1. Please make an appointment with the clinician to discuss or we can discuss at your
weekly weigh in..
I missed my shot. What do I do?
If a disruption of treatment occurs for a period of four or more days, you must increase your
caloric intake to at least 800 calories after the third day following the last injection. You must
also increase your consumption of protein (meat, cheese, eggs, or milk) or you'll be hungry and
fatigued. If the interruption time is less than two weeks, you may resume your treatment and
500 calorie diet immediately. If it lasts more than two weeks, you must eat normally and start
the 500 calorie diet on the day of the third injection, much as the beginning of a new
treatment. If you have advance notice of an interruption, it is advisable to stop taking your HCG
three days before departure. This ensures that you can follow the 500 calorie diet during these
critical three days following the last injection. In this way, you'll be able to eat normally during
the absence and does not have to worry about the difficult task of following a restrictive diet
while traveling. Interruptions before the 20th injection are least desirable as they are more
likely to cause weight regain. Interruptions past the 20th injection tend to be more stable. It is a
common feature of HCG Hormone Therapy treatment that the ratio of inches-to-pounds-lost
corresponds one-to-one. In most cases, the number of inches lost in problem areas will match
the number of pounds lost.
The Plateau:
The "Plateau" typically occurs in the second - half of treatment, and may last between four and
six days. It occurs most often with patients who have been losing one pound per day
consistently, and in patients who are losing more than the average every day. A plateau is
normal; it corrects itself; it does not mean that the HCG is losing efficacy.
If a patient has maintained an over-weight for ten years or more, and then their weight
increased significantly, there can be a plateau once the former weight is reached. This may last
for roughly two weeks with no weight loss even when HCG treatment and correct dieting are at
work.
Failures
Any weight gain above 100 grams that is not due to the above reasons must invariably be a
dietary transgression. Patients often admit readily when they have stepped outside the diet
regimen. Though eating one ounce of a forbidden food seems harmless, it may cause a six
ounce weight gain due to the fact that the body has grown accustomed to receiving 500
calories . When extra food is introduced, the already nutrient saturated blood must increase to
hold extra nutrients, and will increase its volume in a diluted form, causing water retention. For
example, the body can only hold salt in a ratio of one teaspoonful to one liter of water.
Therefore, one teaspoonful of salt can raise the weight by two pounds, as the body retains
water to accommodate the salt. This only occurs while on HCG therapy, and will not continue
after treatment. (Salt is allowed, provided that the usage remains at a certain level. The sudden
introduction of salt will account for weight gain due to the above mentioned ratio; however, it
will not affect the actual amount of fat in the body).
Patients may often unconsciously break the rules, relying too much on their memory of the diet
sheet, or unthinkingly taste a sauce while cooking for a family. These small errors are
important, and must be examined in detail. Eating at the homes of friends or family even when
the diet is kept in mind may be problematic. WRITE EVERYTHING IN A FOOD DIARY. YOU
MAY EVEN USE A MOBILE PHONE APP TO DO THIS.
Lozenges
If the weight gain is not due to the above mentioned behaviors, it is possible that the patient
has taken cough drops, throat lozenges, cough syrup, chewing gum, or the like. The high sugar
content of these foods may affect weight gain.
Strenuous Exercise
Though regular exercise is encouraged do not begin a new exercise program at this time.
Sleep
It is common that the body may require less sleep than normal. Do not be alarmed if normal
sleep patterns are temporarily disturbed.
Blood Sugar
It is not uncommon for blood sugar levels to drop in patients nearing their desired weight. This
is indicated by lightheadedness, weakness in the knees, trembling, and abnormal sweating. The
patient should immediately take two large teaspoons of sugar. It is advised that patients be
made aware of this possibility once nearing their weight goal, and advised to keep sugary candy
on hand, especially while driving. The effects of the sugar must be monitored closely the
following day. Patients who tend towards anxiety are apt to mistakenly take sugar when not
experiencing true hypoglycemia. Emotional stress is a common producer of this mistake. It is
advisable that the patient always takes sugar when uncertain. In a true situation of
hypoglycemia the patient will not gain weight as a result of the sugar, and in cases of mistaken
symptoms, the patient's weight will increase. It is rare that a patient will experience a second
attack, though it is possible several days later.
Muscular Fatigue
HCG treatment causes rapid loss of abnormal fat, which is often deposited in, around, and
between muscles. When this fat is lost from muscles, they are left longer and leaner, which
means they have farther to contract when moving a limb, for example. The body will adapt to
the new form of the muscles, but since abnormal fat is lost so quickly the body may not be able
to adapt following the rate of weight loss. This may cause what is known as muscular fatigue. It
is important that the patient be aware of this, and not to confuse this phenomenon with
weakness. Moving muscles may take more effort initially, but the body will adjust quickly.
Patients who continue walking during treatment experience this to a much lesser degree.
Vegetarians
The regular portion of this diet remains the same. Replace the meat and fish with 500 cc's of
skimmed milk or curds per day. Be aware that the sugar content of the milk will slow the results
of the diet considerably.
Vitamins and Anemia
There is no risk that weight loss will cause vitamin deficiency or anemia, because as fat is
burned, the nutrients stored in the abnormal fat become available to the body. Vitamin C may
be used in conjunction with an antihistamine if a patient is developing a cold. Antibiotics may
be used if necessary, and cortisone is permitted occasionally in cases of bronchial asthma. It is
common that asthmatic patients improve with HCG treatment alone. Taking a multi-vitamin is
acceptable.
The Voice
Many obese patients fear the changing of voice during treatment. This treatment has been
administered to many professional singers with no decline in the timbre of the voice, and many
patients have experienced increased ease breathing, therefore enhanced vocal capabilities.
Fibroids
Uterine fibroids remain unaffected by HCG treatment. It is necessary that any large externally
palpable myomas are surgically removed prior to treatment. If they are not removed
beforehand, there may be significant pain due to the removal of the abdominal fat that
previously served as a cushion on the pelvic bed. The pressure from these tumors once the fat
is removed can cause significant discomfort. Small to fair-sized myomas may be disregarded.
Gallstones
It is possible in patients who have gallstones may have a gallbladder attack during treatment. It
is important the patient understands that the reduction of fat in the diet, which aides in
emptying the gall bladder, may exacerbate symptoms temporarily. This occurs with any type of
diet not only the HCG diet. Patients must be aware that in the event of severe symptoms,
operation may be necessary to remove the gallstones. In these cases, a drug stimulating the
flow of bile may be administered. Though this complication is possible, it is uncommon.
The Painful Heel
Severe attempts at dieting may sometimes cause a painful condition in which patients
experience extreme pain when bearing weight on their heels. This is due to a reduction of the
structural fat which forms the padding underneath the calcaneus, or heel bone. Treatment with
HCG will allow normal and structural fat reserves to restore, while reducing only abnormal fat.
The painful heel syndrome will often disappear completely within ten to twenty days of
treatment, with no recurrence of this condition. Obese patients should begin the diet
immediately, and those patients with normal weights must load for one week prior to
treatment. It should be noted that weight gain during this one week will occur, and the
condition will not improve until the diet begins because it is not the change in weight that
relieves the condition, but the rebuilding of structural fat.
Skepticism
Many patients, and even doctors, will be skeptical that the patient will not suffer from hunger
or unhealthy weight loss in the face as experienced during other diets. This is cured most
efficiently by speaking with patients who have already undergone treatment. Often, a waiting
room becomes like group therapy, with patients sharing their success stories, or alternately,
confessing diet errors to the group even when they have withheld these confession from the
doctors.
Excessive Enthusiasm
Occasionally, an overly enthusiastic patient will try to continue a 500 calorie diet post
treatment. In this case, normal fat is being consumed and will cause not only weight regain
when caloric intake is raised, but also cause severe hunger, weakness, fatigue, and unhealthy
weight loss in the face. Weight gain may occur despite their efforts to eat little. These patients
must be convinced of the necessity of maintaining a normal diet (avoiding starch and sugar)
post treatment.
Intentional Skipping of Meals
Weight following the final injection may fluctuate two pounds. Only check weight first thing in
the morning before eating, and with an empty bladder; daytime weight fluctuates and is
misleading. If after treatment there is weight gain of more than two pounds, the patient must
skip breakfast and lunch that day, making sure to drink a lot of fluid. For dinner the patient
must east one tomato or apple, and a steak . It is crucial that the meals be skipped on the day
of noted weight gain past two pounds. Meals must be skipped, and not simply diminished, and
this will not have the same result if performed the following day. The "skipped meal and steak
day" will cause the patient to lose one pound or more by the following morning. This treatment
is rarely necessary. Most patients feel diminished appetite compared to their pre-treatment
appetites, and may not be able to eat as much as they anticipate. If a patient overeats during
one meal they often feel no hunger later, and so the weight tends to remain the same. Patients
will rarely need to skip meals.
Post-Diet Protein Deficiency
During the diet, the patient is kept at a bare minimum of protein consumption. Once the
proteins released into the body as a result of abnormal fat being broken down are no longer
supporting the person, it is necessary to eat adequate protein. If the patient does not consume
enough protein, water will be retained, ankles will swell, and weight will be gained.
Relapse
The most important rule to prevent relapse is to monitor weight daily. This is of the utmost
importance, even when traveling, because weight regained after HCG therapy will be evenly
dispersed, not showing the previous preference for certain areas, and therefore cannot be
identified quickly by judging fit of clothes or appearance. Up to ten pounds may be added
before the person notices. Daily weighing is extremely important to prevent relapse. Relapse is
most commonly seen in girls in their late teenage years, especially those who suffer from
compulsive eating. Pregnancy and menopause may also negate the effects of treatment.
Women undergoing treatment during the first year of menopause will complete the treatment
successfully, but are more likely to relapse as menopause occurs. Once menopause is fully
established, there is no longer this higher rate of relapse.
IMPORTANT FACTS
Plan on 475 calories per day to remain within the limit. Be sure to eat all of the calories
allotted to you and do not try to eat less. Your body needs at least this many calories to
maintain itself. Maintain 500 calories per day. Going over the 500 calorie limit can cause you to
gain weight while taking HCG.
You must continue on the 500 calorie diet on the last injection day and for two days after your
last shot. Be sure to record your last injection weight. If you are very hungry or weak for the 48
hours after your last injection, you can add an extra apple, protein, or 2-3 breadsticks
only. Continue to follow the low calorie food diet on these days because your body is flooded
with HCG and it will take about 48 hours for it to leave the body. Day 3 after your last injection
should consist of more normal calorie intake (1000-1200 calories), no sugar or carbohydrates,
and plenty of protein. It takes three weeks for your weight to stabilize after completing the
HCG injections.
It is very important to follow the diet exactly, as laid out. Weight loss will only occur if the diet
is followed. If you go over the 500 calories, you will negate the effects of the HCG for 3 days. In
other words, you will not lose weight for the three days following the interruption of the diet
protocol. You must follow the "apple protocol"(see definitions) immediately following the day
that you go over the 500 calories.
NO sugar or starch during Phase 1. Sugar stimulates insulin and insulin turns it into fat. We also
caution against eating sugar or starch for Phase 2 and DEFINITELY NOT during Phase 1.
If you are feeling hungry between meals, you could have a small bite of leftover chicken rolled
in a piece of lettuce like a sandwich, but be sure to deduct it from the next meal. You can make
yourself an iced coffee with Stevia or Truvia. You could also make a smoothie with a handful of
strawberries, water, ice and Stevia in a blender. As long as you track this as part of the daily 500
calories, you won't be cheating!
To stay on the diet, try eating a sliced tomato or cucumber with salt and pepper between
meals. You can even broil the tomato in the oven with some spices. The same can be done with
an apple and cinnamon but be sure to count this toward your 500 calorie limit. Remember that
when you are on the HCG Therapy diet, if you eat any calories over the 500 per day limit, you
may GAIN weight. HCG Therapy only works to help you lose fat when you strictly follow the
very low calorie diet (VLCD). To help you track your calories, check out websites
likefitday.com or mypyramid.com.
Phase 2
Phase 2 last for three weeks and begins 48 hours after the last HCG injection. The goal of phase
2 is to maintain your new weight, not to lose more weight. When the days of dieting after the
last injection are over, you may return to a moderate amount of calories. During phase two,
you can increase your calorie intake to 1000-1200 calories per day. It takes about three weeks
for the weight reached at the end of Phase 1 to become stable (does not show weight
fluctuations after an occasional excess of calories). It is important to continue weighing yourself
every day during this three week period.
Do not gain or lose more than two pounds since your last injection weight. This is important
because the hypothalamus is being reset, as is the "base weight," and any weight loss during
this time frame is at the expense of normal fat that is easily regained later. During this period,
it's important to note that carbohydrates, sugars, rice, bread, potatoes, pastries, etc. can be
dangerous to maintaining your new weight. If no carbohydrates are eaten, fats can be indulged
somewhat more liberally and you can even consume small quantities of alcohol (such as a glass
of wine with meals) without harm. However, as soon as fats and starch are combined things are
liable to get out of hand. Monitor your diet very carefully during the first three weeks after the
injections are complete to avoid disappointments. Slowly, you may incorporate starch and
sugar back into your diet. Make sure to keep them in moderation to maintain a healthy
lifestyle. Continue to weigh in every day. Continue to drink a water (2 liters), tea, or coffee
daily. Do not gain or lose more than two pounds during Phase 2. Losing more than two pounds
will pull the weight from your normal and necessary body stores and will slow down your
metabolism. Your body is resetting at your new weight. Do not attempt to stay on the 500
calories per day diet as your body will go into starvation mode without the HCG injections you
took during Phase 1 and you will more likely to gain the weight back more easily. Try to eat six
meals per day and keep a food diary to help keep you on track. Be careful with sweet fruit,
such as bananas. Eat nuts, seeds, cheese, milk and yogurt sparingly. Keep this to one serving
per day. Limit your intake of starchy vegetables such as carrots, corn, and beets.
Eat protein. During Phase 1 your body was getting the very minimal amount of protein from
food but had the advantage of obtaining protein from the fatty tissue being broken down by
the HCG. The amount of protein must be increased during Phase 2 as your body cannot rely on
protein that has been stored. Insufficient protein may lead to significant water retention,
known as hunger edema. If this occurs the treatment is simple. Steak and Cheese Day (see
definitions)
If you see a weight gain of 1 or 1.5 pounds, you can do the following to avoid a steak day:
 Drink plenty of water.
 Skip breakfast.
 Have a whole can of tuna (packed in water) or chicken with mayonnaise with lettuce or
celery for lunch.
 Have a large portion of protein with a small salad and low fat dressing for dinner.
This will usually allow you to lose a pound but will not be necessary if you increase your calories
and avoid sugar and starch. Most dieters will not need to skip a meal unless they are not hungry
due to a large lunch. If you gain more than 2 pounds, have a STEAK DAY (See definitions, this is
different than the steak and cheese day).
Phase 3 “THE BREAK”
Immunity to HCG can develop. This is why a 3 week break or longer is required after you finish
the injections. If you have lost the desired amount of weight, eat normally for the next 21 days,
slowly adding back in healthy starches. If you have more weight to lose, you may restart the
cycle again. If you need to restart the cycle to lose more weight, do not eat any sugar or
starches during your HCG break period. Continue to weigh in every day and to drink a water (2
liters), tea, or coffee daily.
For a second or third HCG cycle, your break needs to be 21 days
For a fourth cycle or more of HCG your break needs to be 28 days (four weeks)
Common problems
 Not beginning with the gorging days on Days 1 and 2.
 Not following the 500 calorie a day diet on Days 3-43 by either eating too much or too
little.
 Remaining on the 500 calorie diet too long after completing the Phase one.
 Eating sugars and starches.
 Not eating enough and trying to continue losing weight during the Phase 2 weight
stabilization phase.
 Eating too much dairy or high carbohydrate fruits or vegetables.
 Drinking Alcohol
DEFINITIONS:
Steak and Cheese Day. Eat two eggs for breakfast and a steak for lunch and dinner followed by
a helping of cheese. When this treatment is followed, 2 lbs. can vanish overnight. Your sleep
may be disturbed, due to an extraordinary need to pass large quantities of water. This is only
for swelling in the feet and ankles, but not just weight gain.
Steak day: Rules for a steak day: Skip breakfast and lunch and drink large quantities of water.
Have a large steak for dinner with only a raw tomato or an apple. It is important to do this on
the day that you notice the weight gain.
Apple Protocol- On this day eat 6 apples and a minimal amount of water for the entire day.

HCG DIET BOOKLET TIPS
 The juice from one lemon can be used at any point during the day.
 Permitted seasonings are salt, pepper, vinegar, mustard powder, garlic, sweet basil,
parsley, thyme, and marjorum.
 Ensure that the spices used for cooking do not contain sugar.
 Limit beef to 2-3 servings per week; fish to 3 servings per week; and chicken is fine for any
meal.
 No oil, butter or dressing (other than fat free) Italian should be added.
 FOR WOMEN: The best time to start is immediately following menstruation. Avoid ending
the treatment on the first day of a menstrual cycle. If this does occur, it is advisable to give the
last injection three days before the first expected date of menstruation so that a normal diet
may be followed at the onset of menstruation. At least three injections should be given
following the menstrual cycle, and these are to be followed by the three days of 500 calorie
dieting.
 Drink at least two liters of liquid per day. When the body has enough water, the excess is
eliminated quickly. Drinking ample water does not increase water retention and weight;
conversely, when the body is deprived of sufficient water, it is then that the body retains water
for future use, straining the kidneys and the intestines in effort to retain enough fluid.
 Your bowel movements may decrease in frequency temporarily because of the minimum
amount of food ingested. Drinking enough water is crucial to a well-functioning colon. There
should be no difficulty with bowel movements as long as the patient drinks sufficient water.
Because of the minimal amount of food ingested, it is not unusual to have a bowel movement
as little as once every three or four days. If four days has elapsed without a bowel movement,
contact your primary care provider.
 Keep a food diary.
 If you are losing more than 15 pounds a week, your clinician will increase your calories
slightly
Preparing Ahead Tips
1. Make a grocery list to buy meats and poultry, fresh vegetables and fruits every week.
2. Prepare meats and poultry ahead removing all visible fat. Pack them in individual bags and
weight them to make sure each portion is 3.5 oz. and shrimp 5 oz.
3. Prepare vegetables and fruits the day before. Weigh them and pack them in separate bags.
4. Make sure you have nonstick skillets and/or pans because all recipes are boiled, steamed or
grilled. You won’t use any oil at all.
5. Cook several meals a day so you are ready to go by just picking up your bags every day.
6. Carry Stevia with you at all times in case you want tea or coffee out of your house.
7. Try not to eat out to reduce risks of affecting the HCG diet. Restaurants portions are 6 to 12
oz. and marinate can include sugars which are not allowed during HCG diet.
Guidelines for Success
1. When you buy HCG you must follow it step by step. Deviations of this diet can cause you to
be unsuccessful.
2. A total of 500 calories should be consumed. Cheating is not an option. Don’t even try one
peanut, french fries, etc. because it will affect the diet.
3. Weigh yourself weekly on our state of the art body composition scale at our clinic.
4. Drink enough water during the HCG Diet. Dr. Simeons recommends more than 2 Liters per
day. We have included water as part of the menu.

APPLE DAY
The Plateau during HCG diet
A plateau interruption occurs during the second half of the 30 or 40 dayHCG diet course,
particularly in patients that has been doing welland losing more than the average.
A plateau always corrects, itself, but many patients who havebecome accustomed to a regular
daily loss get unnecessarilyworried and begin to fret.
To break up the plateau, patients can do the apples day whichconsist of eating 6 apples through
the day. During an apple dayno other food or liquids except plain water are allowed.
The apple day produces a gratifying loss of weight on thefollowing day, chiefly due to the
elimination of water. This wateris not regained when the patients resume their normal 500
caloriediet at lunch, and on the following days they continue to loseweight satisfactorily.

CONCULSION
Congratulations! You have made a huge difference in your body and your eating habits. You can
now return to a healthy style of eating. You will be surprised at how small your appetite is and
how easy it is to eat healthy and feel satisfied.
To sustain your success and stay on track, Genesis recommends that you continue to keep a
food journal. If you would like to go through another cycle of the HCG Hormone Therapy diet
to lose additional weight, please talk with our staff to see when you can do another cycle.
When you reach your desired weight and successfully complete the maintenance interval, you
can return to a healthy style of eating. By then, it's safe to say you have cured yourself of the
main causes of obesity.
TESTIMONIALS
"I love this diet because it is the epitome of instant gratification. I can virtually see daily weight
loss and I can control the rate by increasing my exercise levels. I also have a new perspective in
terms of portion size of my servings. I have been eating way more than I needed and now eat
less and feel full and happy!" – Joe
"After two children and turning 46, I had gained ten pounds, which was sitting on my waist and
arms. I dieted and exercised to no avail... my metabolism finally caught up with me. Now I have
a waist again! I'm as thin as I was in college, and look even better than ever thanks to the HCG
diet protocol. I am satisfied with smaller portions and healthier foods, and I am now looking
forward to working out to maintain my returned figure." - Maureen
"I didn't think it was possible to get back to my high school weight, 1 had tried and never could.
HCG is really a wonder drug. You see results almost every day. Further, before this diet I
thought I knew a lot about food and cooking. Following this program is a real education in
shopping, cooking, and really reading labels. My eating habits are changed forever. If America
was on this diet, obesity would largely be a disease of the past." - Jay
"HCG works! In going through my first 30 days, with no exercise, I continued to lose weight
even with my travel schedule. This diet has taught me how to watch my calorie intake, which is
an area I never paid attention to in the past. Prior to starting this diet, I found myself barely
able to walk without pain, as my right knee needs replacement. Now, having lost 28 pounds,
the pain is substantially less, which has encouraged me to start an exercise program in hopes of
actually, being able to play tennis again." - Mark
