Talent Match Humber Core Partnership Member Role Description Role Purpose To provide strategic leadership and support to Talent Match Humber The initial purpose of the Core partnership is to ensure that Humber secures the full indicative amount of £5.2 million that has been allocated to the sub region by the Big Lottery Fund Main Tasks 1. Develop and lead a shared vision for Talent Match Humber which ensures that young people 1824 are actively involved at all stages of the design, delivery and evaluation of the programme 2. Steer and monitor the prospectus design, development, and delivery process Provide oversight, support, and guidance to a Prospectus Development Team (bid writing task and finish group) Utilise key relationships, networks, and partnerships to support the development of a high quality prospectus 3. Ensure liaison and communication with wider stakeholder groups in local authority areas and communities of interest so they are effectively involved and informed in the design and development of the prospectus, e.g. Chair stakeholder groups in local authority areas Ensure appropriate liaison and communication with young people 18-24 Ensure appropriate liaison and communication with communities of interest (e.g. employers, learning and skills providers, VCS organisations) 4. Identify and appoint an appropriate voluntary sector lead accountable body 5. Provide oversight, support, and guidance to the voluntary sector lead accountable body 6. Attend regular core partnership meetings throughout the prospectus design process 7. Maintain an effective working relationship with Big Lottery Fund Person Specification Core partnership members must be operating professionally at a senior/strategic level and have delegated decision-making powers Members will have an excellent working knowledge of the 18-24 NEET agenda and / or learning, skills, and employability sector and / or commissioning frameworks and processes Members must be able to demonstrate a very high level of commitment toward helping young people achieve their full potential Members will be able to demonstrate that they have sound knowledge and understanding and strong relationships in several of the following areas: Young People; Big Lottery Fund; Voluntary & Community Sector; Employers’ Groups; Social Enterprises; Youth Services; Humber Local Enterprise Partnership; Job Centre Plus; DWP; Local Authorities; FE Colleges; Skills Funding Agency; Universities; Sub-Regional Media Practical Requirements Travel expenses only will be paid In the period September to November 2012 there will be a requirement to attend frequent core partnership meetings (potentially fortnightly) to ensure that a high quality prospectus is developed and submitted on time to the Big Lottery Fund
