2014 Industrial Design Thesis Show
Industrial design students showcase ground-breaking concepts
Toronto, Ontario – April 17, 2014 – Humber College’s Industrial Design students will be
showcasing designs that could change the world. Graduating students from the four-year
degree program will present their final-year thesis projects, including models, concepts and
prototypes at the 2014 Industrial Design Thesis Show.
“Humber Industrial Design students are continually seeking ways to improve the way
products work. From usability to sustainability and energy conservation, our students are
developing concepts to make positive changes to our world,” says Bill Angelakos, Associate
Dean, School of Applied Technology. “The upcoming events allow students to show their
work to their peers, industry professionals, potential employers and the public.”
“The Industrial Design faculty has focused the selection and development of the student
thesis projects based on the following criteria: enhancement of human lifestyle; human
interaction design; ergonomics and human factors design; and sustainability,” informs
Dennis L. Kappen, Professor - Industrial Design, who co-teaches the thesis course with
Bruce Thomson, Professor-Industrial Design.
