Interpretation of District & School HIB Grade Reports
These raw scores and average scores reflect the schools’ and District’s degree of
compliance with the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act (ABR) as determined
primarily through each school’s self-assessment of its implementation of ABR.
 Beginning with the September 2011-2012 school year, our school
district/school has conscientiously implemented the requirements found in
the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act by training staff, students, and parents
while instituting character education programs and initiatives.
 Since the implementation of the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act, our school
district has made progress in addressing and improving harassment,
intimidation and bullying and the school climate and culture by revising our
reporting procedures and training our staff.
 While completing the Self-Assessment, we learned that our school district
demonstrated strengths in these areas: our HIB program initiatives, training,
reporting procedures, and investigations.
 The Self-Assessment helped our school district/school to identify areas for
improvement in the following areas: other staff instruction and personnel.
 Our district plans to further assess strengths and vulnerabilities for learning
by conducting a school climate survey. We have administered this survey
and are awaiting the results.
 In order to promote a positive school climate, our school is teaching students
social-emotional learning skills by implementing our character education
program.
 During the upcoming year, our school district will be working towards and
seek your involvement in improving character education awareness.
