If cell, Is it okay to text? yes no The exhibition runs from Friday, June 13, 2014 to Wednesday, July 2, 2014. The Early Submission Deadline is May 3, 2014. Artists who submit work by May 3 have to opportunity to have their work featured on promotional material for the exhibition. The Final Submission Deadline is Friday, May 16, 2014. Any submissions received after this date will not be accepted. No exceptions. Selected Artists will be notified by Gallery Curator, Alison Schmidt Carson, by phone or email on or before Sunday, May 18, 2014. Once chosen, you receive the Gallery’s Exhibition Agreement. This Agreement must be read, followed, and signed to exhibit. Contact the Curator for an advanced copy of this agreement. If selected, the Artist will be expected to provide some or all artwork submitted in this application to the Gallery for exhibition. Additionally, the Artist will be responsible for providing high resolution images of these works, if requested, for promotional materials and participating in the advertisement and promotion of the exhibition. Important Dates The Opening Reception will be held on Friday, June 13, 2014. The Artist will be expected to make every effort, within reason, to attend the full opening reception. If chosen, the Artist must be available to drop off selected artworks at The Schulman Gallery on Friday, June 6, 2014 between 2:00pm and 6:00pm or Saturday, June 7 between 1:30pm and 4:00pm. Work not dropped off during the designated days/times will not be accepted, unless the artist was requested, by the Curator, to bring artwork on a separate day. Artwork is also must be picked up at The Schulman Gallery. The artist must pick up his or her work on Thursday, July 3, 2014 between 2:00pm and 6:00pm or Saturday, July 5 between 1:30pm and 3:30pm. The Schulman Gallery and Luzerne County Community College are not responsible for loss or damage to work not picked up at the designated times. Artwork not picked up during the designated times will be forfeited to the Schulman Gallery or Luzerne County Community College. No exceptions. If you cannot drop off and pick up your artwork during these designated times, please do not submit to participate in this exhibition. About Submitting Your Work: By signing your submission form you agree to all of the terms on this page. The digital images you submit of your work must be about 1000 pixels on the longest side. The digital images you submit must be titled as shown on page one (Deconstructed_YourName_WorkTitle_1.jpg). Failure to title your images properly will result in your work automatically being rejected from the exhibition. If you have any questions please contact the gallery curator. There are 3 ways to submit your work: 1. Email Email your completed page one form and digital images of the works you are submitting directly to the curator. Drop off or Mail Add your completed page one form and digital images of the works you are submitting to a CD or flash drive. Create a specific file for your submission form and digital images and title it: “Deconstructed” Title the completed page one form: “Deconstructed_YourName” Title your images as shown above and on page one. Put “Deconstructed” and “Your Name” on the CD or flash drive. Deliver to Curator in the Campus Center, room 218A, first desk on the left. (leave on desk if curator is not there) (or) Mail to Curator at: Schulman Gallery, Alison Schmidt Carson c/o Luzerne County Community College 1333 S. Prospect Street Nanticoke, PA 18634 You may pick up your flash drive on either drop off day: June 6 or 7, 2014. Curator is not responsible for flash drives not picked up on June 6 or 7, 2014 during the drop off window. 3. Online Go to the Schulman Gallery webpage: www.luzerne.edu/schulmangallery and then go to “Call for Artists” on the left-hand side. Under “option 1” select “Deconstructed” from the drop down menu and hit “go”. Fill out all of the information requested. You will only be able to submit 3 works using our online form. Title your images as shown above and on page one. Click “Submit My Request” Upload the digital images of your works.
