detection limit of 1 ppb. This kit offers enrofloxacin standards (0 / 0.1 / 0.25 / 0.5 / 1.0 / 5.0 ppb). Cat # 1024-02 can be used to detect fluoroquinolone in honey
samples with s detection limit of 2.5 ppb. This kit offers norfloxacin standards (0 / 0.25 / 7.5 / 20 / 50 / 150 ppb).
Fluoroquinolones are a group of antibiotics that can inhibit the activity of bacterial DNA gyrase. Fluoroquinolone group mainly includes enrofloxacin and its active
metabolite ciprofloxacin, danofloxacin, norfloxacin, pipemidic acid, ofloxacin, benofloxacin and others. One of widely used fluoroquinolones is enrofloxacin, which
was the first fluoroquinolone antimicrobial to be used in veterinary infections by E. coli, Salmonella, Pasteurella, Mycoplasma and Hemophilus species. The MRLs
for the sum of enrofloxacin and its active metabolite ciprofloxacin have been stated at 100 μg/kg (ppb) for muscle tissue and fat, and 100 μg/kg (ppb) for milk.
