Curriculum Vitae Pat Nunn MIBS Broadcast Sound Supervisor With 28 years broadcast experience, 13 years as Sound Supervisor, Pat Nunn has been responsible for sound in all show genres from the Saturday evening Channel 4 shows “ World Cup of Comedy” ,“The Bank Job” and “Five Minutes to a Fortune”, to BBC1’s “Pointless Celebrities” and “The SK Amos Show”; from the live, late night comedy and bands “The Russell Brand Show” on Ch4 to BBC1’s “Dick and Dom Live” – a Saturday morning live chaotic kids show; from “Piers Morgan’s’ Life Stories ” for ITV to the award winning “Eastenders LIVE” episode in February 2010; and from “Vic Reeves Ministry of Curious Stuff” to “The Wimbledon Tennis Championship” and various Olympics, including BBC’s main output from London 2012. In addition to studio and OB productions, Pat has extensive experience of recording sound on location including rod operation as far back as “The House of Elliot”! The 11 years as Sound Recordist with Eastenders, which has included many “Specials” encompassing several consecutive weeks abroad, has helped Pat develop exceptional skill in creating solutions and preventing issues due to his extensive experience, positive manner and communication skills. He prefers to overcome or front load issues to ensure that problems do not arise. For many years Pat was also responsible for the dubbing of Eastenders in addition to the studio and location recordings, therefore managing the sound planning, shooting on location, shooting in the studio and designing the final mix in the dub. Pat comprehends that “value for money is key”, working equally well with small production teams, as he does with very large ones, where the budgets are tight and requirements often squeezed in both circumstances. Pat always pushes quality to the fore, whilst managing to be commercially focused. He is always honest in terms of anticipated results, considering carefully the achievement of best possible quality for the required and achievable budget. Pat has worked in advisory and sound design roles also, both in Britain and abroad, and is currently advising on a tv show to be made in the far east.
