Avon Cross Country
The Avon High School Boys’ and Girls’ Cross Country teams are hosting their fifth annual running development camp
during the week of June 22nd-June 26th! Runners of all ability are welcome. Students entering grades 4 to 8 are
invited. Our goal is utilize our experienced varsity athletes and coaching staff to develop runners by focusing on
discipline, training techniques, stretching techniques, proper warm-up and cool-down routines, running form drills,
proper running gear, and nutrition for runners. Campers will receive an Avon Cross Country Camp t-shirt and an Avon
Orioles water bottle! Gatorade, water, and snacks will also be provided.
Camp Highlights:
WHEN: June 22nd-June 26th, 8:30 AM-11:00 AM. Drop off at 8:15, pick-up by 11:15.
WHERE: Washington Township Park, 115 S. County Rd 575 East, Avon, IN 46123
COST: $40 for early registration, now until June 8th. $45 registration from June 9th - June 22nd. You may register the first
day of camp but are not guaranteed a t-shirt.
ACTIVITIES: Instruction, running development drills, runs varying in length and distance based on running ability, guest
speakers, games and activities, relay races, course challenge, all camp race on Friday.
WHAT TO BRING: Athletic shoes (preferably running shoes), athletic clothing, snacks (optional).
