More than 20 Biotech Companies to Present Business Innovations,
Growth Strategies at Mid-Atlantic Bio
Eighth Regional Gathering of Life Sciences Companies at Every Stage
Bethesda, Maryland (August 17, 2012) – The Mid-Atlantic Bio Conference today
named the more than 20 biotech companies that will formally present business
innovations and growth strategies to an audience of more than 850 investors, scientists,
advisors and professional service providers from the life sciences sector during this
year’s Annual Conference on September 27-28, 2012. Hundreds of biotech companies
from across the industry will be coming together during this regional event.
The 2012 Mid-Atlantic Bio Conference is presented by the Mid-Atlantic Venture
Association, the Virginia Biotechnology Association, the Tech Council of Maryland,
along with their new, strategic partner, the North Carolina Biotechnology Center.
In addition to world-class programming, thought leadership and networking, the MidAtlantic Bio Conference is known for providing growth companies an opportunity to
present before a variety of capital sources, including venture capital, angel and
corporate investors; industry professionals and business leaders; peer scientists; and
potential strategic partners.

The 2012 Mid-Atlantic Bio Conference
Recognized as the premier regional bioscience industry conference, the two-day MidAtlantic Bio Conference presents a comprehensive agenda comprised of policy
discussions, educational workshops, partnering and business development meetings,
investor presentations, media briefings and an exhibition. The event attracts more than
800 national and international industry leaders and stakeholders – including
entrepreneurs, representatives from start-ups, small to midsize and developing
companies, as well as larger established companies, capital sources, researchers and
universities, public policymakers, suppliers and service providers – from approximately
30 states and 10 countries.
Over the course of two days, attendees will engage in company presentations, policy
discussions, educational workshops, partnering and business development meetings,
investor presentations, media briefings and innovation exhibitions.
The event, which is taking place September 27-28 at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel
& Conference in Bethesda, Maryland, is presented by the Virginia Biotechnology
Association (VABIO), Tech Council of Maryland (TCM), Mid-Atlantic Venture
