Course Expectations:
The goal of this class is for you to noticeably improve your English language skills (listening, speaking, reading and
writing). All class expectations are set up with this in mind. Students who successfully master the level will progress to the
next level.
 Come to class and return from break on time.
 Class begins at 6:00 PM and ends at 8:50 PM. We will have a 20 minute break from 7:20-7:40.
 Speak only English while you are in class.
 YOU CAN DO THIS! Remember why you are here. Where do you want to be in 12 weeks?
 TURN off your phone, texting and music. Tell people NOT to call you during class hours. Use your cell phone for
emergencies only.
 Respect your classmates. This means listening while others are speaking, and responding politely at all times.
 Come to class prepared. If you have missed a class, be sure to get the missed material by calling a friend in class, emailing your teacher or looking on the weekly class guide.
 Please e-mail your teacher or call your resource specialist if you need to miss class.
Class Requirements:
 Use your 3-ring notebook to stay organized. Keep all papers there with paper, pens or pencils and class books. Bring
this with you to class every day
 Each student will keep a homework/writing notebook. All final rewrites will be written neatly in pen or typed. a rewrite of that writing
 Oral Assessments
