You would be joining a team of 11 consultants who have a wide range of specialist interests including pre-hospital emergency medicine, intensive care, research, procedural sedation, ultrasound and paediatrics. With a cross site footfall of over 400 patients per day you would be gaining experience in the front line of emergency care alongside a fully staffed Emergency Nurse Practitioner service that operates on all sites to compliment the medical service. The Trust supports development and innovation. We have an integrated 24/7 GP service at front of house and are currently developing a Majors Nurse Practitioner service. The department has a track record of successful clinical fellow progression into training programs/consultant positions. A dedicated educational supervisor will be allocated to offer career development and mentoring. We have a very supportive and proactive administrative team who support all the non-clinical issues. There is a strong culture of training and education with some of our consultants examining for the MCEM/FCEM. Departmental teaching is protected and additional time is available for exam study, research, audit, and specialist training e.g. critical care/ advanced airway. We offer study leave to attend courses that will further a career in Emergency Medicine. The Role - 48 hours/week inc. non-clinical time, weekend frequency 2:6 – salary up to £70762 per annum based on experience. You must have experience working clinically within an Emergency department.
