Collection Map
The following map show the areas of the library that we need to focus on when ordering to
better serve the patrons in Inglewood. We Plan on order 1500 new books for these
collections.
Mystery
Mystery books are often assigned to Students
in English. Many students come searching for
Mystery books. We have a small collection of
Mystery books and many are very outdated.
We need to update and add to our collection.
300 Books = 30% of total
Add 300 books at 10 each= $3,000
Muslim Culture Books
We have a quite a number of patrons who are
from the Muslim culture. We have a small
collection of books that are written for the
Muslim Culture but we really need to update it
and order books on all reading levels that are
books written for Children in the Muslim
culture and that are written by Muslims
300 Books = 30% of total
Add 300 books at 15 each= $4,500
Biographies
We have a big biography collection since many
students have assignment with many different
kinds of biographies. While it is a large
collection many books are outdated and we
could use some more variety in biographies.
To update this collection it would be good to
weed less circulated, outdated items and fill it
with a wider variety of people including more
recent biographies on singer, actors and sport
figures.
200 books= 20% of total
Add 200 books at 20 dollars each= $4000
Graphic Novels
Graphic novels are important to struggling
readers. Many reluctant readers are willing to
read Graphic novels They can also help
struggling students grasp concepts. Teachers
can use non-fiction graphic novels that go with
the curriculum to help them in teaching a
lesson. Currently, our graphic novel selection
is small with few titles and many missing
books.

Add 200 books at $15 each = $3,000
