(Engage) Morning Work- Students will copy and answer the Instant
Science questions on Goal 2.
(Explain) Teacher and student will reread the story “The Story of
Mount Shasta.” Teacher and students will review the key concepts of the
story and review the discussion questions.
(Exploration) Students will watch BrainPOP video “Erosion” and
“Weathering” and “Deposition.” Teacher and students will review the
assessment questions as a class.
(Evaluation) Students will create and complete a chart explaining the
differences. Students will complete a sequence chart putting each term
in order.
(Extension) Teacher and students will review vocabulary.
Homework- Homework Packet and Social Studies pages.
Engage) Morning Work- Students will copy and answer the Instant
Science questions on Goal 1 (Ecosystems).
(Explain) Teacher and students will read and discuss pages 79-83 in
the “Passing the NC Science EOG” book. Students will use a chart
provided by the teacher to chart and explain the difference of the
wearing a way of rocks and soil that creates landforms.
(Exploration) Teacher and students will watch videos segments from
Discoveryeducation.com entitled “River flight: to the open sea”.
Teacher and students will discuss videos.
(Evaluation) Students will answer the 5 questions from page 84 in
the “Passing the NC Science EOG” book.
(Extension) Teacher and students will review last week’s homework
packets.

(Evaluation) Students will take a vocabulary quiz on the vocabulary
and information learned in Goal 2.
