HOURS PER WEEK 4 (2 Theory 2 Laboratory) CREDIT UNITS 4 TYPICAL SEMESTER 6nd AIM AND OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE The objective of this course is to introduce students to the concept of industrial design, acquire skills related to the design of an industrial object and its structure analysis. COURSE DESCRIPTION Theoretical part: Critical analysis of the structure, form and geometry of an object produced in multiple copies in industrialized manner, Familiarization with the concepts of functionality and ergonomics as well as safety issues and the use of costs. Laboratorial part: The workshops will include analytical drawing (view, plan, section, side view) of an industrial product. EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOME By the end of the course students will be able to design and communicate simple ideas using delicate drawings. BIBLIOGRAPHY 1.
