Fintry’s Warm Home Fund Fintry’s Warm Home Fund is for households that are classed as being fuel poor spending 10% or more of their annual household income on energy bills. To be eligible households must provide proof of income and energy expenditure. The fund is targeted at households which are within the fuel poverty lines but are not eligible to receive any support from Governmental organisations and schemes, including companies. Thus grants from Fintry’s Warm Home Fund will not be paid out to households which are eligible for Governmental assistance packages such as the energy assistance package. Fintry’s Warm Home Fund is an extension to the current Fintry Energy Efficiency Grant and as such the same grant conditions and eligible measures apply. Fintry Warm Home Fund Eligible Measures 1. Renewable technologies*: -Solar Photovoltaic -Solar Thermal - Heat Pump technologies -Biomass Boilers (chip, log or pellet) *All renewable technologies must be installed by an accredited installer 2. Other heating systems: -Wood Burning Stove -Replacement of old (large) storage heaters for modern, slim line storage heaters -Upgrade of a distribution system (radiators/pipework) -Installation of filtration device to improve efficiency (if installed while upgrading system) -Installation of a low energy pump to replace existing -Upgrading of heating controls (timer, thermostat, zonal control and thermostatic radiator valves). 3. Insulation/glazing: -Cavity wall insulation -Solid wall insulation -Loft insulation -Flat roof insulation -Under/Floating Floor Insulation -Hot Water Tank Jacket -Pipe lagging -Draft proofing -Replacing old single glazed windows with low- E double glazing 4. Energy saving: - Energy saving light bulbs only, this does not include light fittings. Fintry Warm Home Fund Grant Conditions One grant per household. FDT may review this at a later date. Existing properties only Household must be classed as being in fuel poverty and provide household bills and proof of income to prove this. Quotes/invoices must be provided with application form Only measures listed can be applied for Grants allocated on first come first served basis dependant on application form being received by trust. Maximum grant amount is £1000 This is a one off grant payment, once a household receives the Fintry Warm Home Grant they will not be eligible for another, households will also not be eligible for FDT £500 energy efficiency grant. Payment will be made directly to installer/supplier unless otherwise agreed in advance Applications are to be approved by the FDT board To be eligible for this grant a household must not be eligible for any governmental assistance or scheme, including companies. However the grant can be used in conjunction with the Renewable Heat Premium Payment. Energy saving measures must result in a reduction in energy use and significant carbon savings to be eligible. Each applicant will be visited by an FDT energy advisor to assess impact of proposed measure against grant criteria. As part of our grants process FDT may ask you to take part in a survey regarding energy use in your home.
