Kuwait Road Assessment Additional Information Road Construction / Maintenance Between Sunday - Thursday (workdays) trucks are banned to enter the inner city limits during rush hours (06:30 – 09:30 AM and 12:30 – 15:30 PM). This is permanent since some time back and should be taken into consideration during operational planning, especially due to Shuwaikh Port being located within this ‘banned area’ limiting exit to/from the port to non-peak hours. Among the new road development projects planned in and around Kuwait City ‘The Ghazali project’ near Al-Ghazali Highway and ‘the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Bridge’, are worth mentioning since even though aims at reducing congestion in the Shuwaikh area, during construction phase access to Shuwaikh Port and the nearby Shuwaikh Industrival Area will be further hampered. Bridges Kuwait has a bridge height of 5.5mts, load height not to exceed 5mtrs from the ground including the trailor height. International Corridors Leading to the Country There are 3 international corridors leading to/from Kuwait City , the southern, the western and the northern routes.
