 Currently serve as a critical care float RN at a 422 bed hospital located within Kalamazoo, MI.
Assigned to float four critical care units, Surgical Trauma, Neuro, Cardiac, and Cardiac Surgical.
Conduct patient assessments, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
Monitor patient goals and outcomes by involving and teaching patients. Ensured that doctors’
orders were effectively carried out, including testing, medical procedures, consultations and stat
orders for five-point restraint.
 Perform and maintain proficiency in critical care protocols: Post-cardiac arrest, Sepsis, End Stage
Renal Disease, Massive Trauma. Post surgical complications and Respiratory Failure with need
for mechanical ventilation and the fore mentioned.

Certified to manage high risk IV medications used within critical care units to maintain
hemodynamic stability. Certified to manage and monitor Continuous Renal Replacement
Therapy, Arctic Sun, BEHR Warming devices, Roto-prone bed and Rapid infusion device. Assist
in bedside procedures and respective reading of Swans, central venous pressure, arterial pressure,
bladder pressure and, intracranial pressure.

Serve as a preceptor to nurses in critical care.


Provide specialized care for critically ill patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit or Trauma
Care Unit with duties and job performance demands as listed above.

Able to float to departments of facility as needed to accomplish hospital patient care.
