Goal of the module
Familiarizing students with basic grammatical terminology. Mastering the
knowledge and practical use of various grammatical structures. Improving
students’ grammatical and lexical accuracy. Expanding advanced vocabulary.
The knowledge of English language on at least B2+ level.
Requirements
Student in the area of:
- knowledge: knows appropriate terminology and rules governing the system
of English grammar;
- skills: describes the use and functions of English grammatical structures,
uses the right grammatical structures in a given context, identifies and
formulates rules governing the system of English grammar;
- competences: establishes priorities which will lead to realization of a task,
prepares for the class diligently, and fulfils the assignments in time.
Course content
Nouns and noun phrases.
Possessives.
Pronouns.
Determiners.
Prepositions.
Adjectives and adverbs.
Form and terms of
examination
Students’ final grade is an average calculated from
grammar tests, homeworks and active participation in the class. A signature
and a grade are granted at the end of the winter semester. PNJA exam is
taken by students at the end of the summer semester.
