This seminar is for those who have a basic knowledge of the tools of homeopathy: the
repertory, materia medica and the Organon.
Seminar description
Working from cured cases, Kim will explore the unique challenges presented by children
in the consulting room, and offer practical suggestions for case taking, analysis, and case
management.
Kim will present cases of some less commonly prescribed remedies for children, along
with the materia medica of a host of remedies including some less well known jewels
from our materia medica. Special consideration will be given to the themes of the Snake
Remedies in pediatrics.
This seminar with Kim will empower you to practice pediatric homeopathy with
confidence. Over an exciting weekend, the essentials of homeopathic practice will be
examined in detail, and the universal questions – common to new practitioners and
students alike – will be answered with clarity.
With exemplary paper and video cases as grounding, Kim’s presentation will reference a
combination of historical and contemporary methods that have a proven track record in
daily practice.
Beginning with Hahnemann's approach to case taking as outlined in the Organon, you’ll
explore a range of approaches, including new discoveries: insights from the fields of
contemporary psychology and neuro-linguistic programming that can aid in eliciting the
information needed for a successful prescription.
Our agenda also includes case analysis. We’ll explore a variety of approaches — from
Boenninghausen’s use of location, sensation, modality and concomitant, to more
current systems.
Effective use of the Repertory, including rubric selection and construction of a formal
analysis will be covered, along with case management and follow-up. Special topics like
supervising pediatric patients with serious pathology and those on allopathic
medications are also included. A thorough review of posology - potency and dose – will
answer your questions and provide you with a systematic way to approach each and
every case, ensuring reproducible results and a successful, rewarding practice.
